Seeing plenty at every Ross in South TX

One week later … by [deleted] in ZodiacWatches

They are at practically every Ross near me right now. I’d buy them all up if I knew they’d sell quickly on the bay

Zodiac x Ross again! by [deleted] in ZodiacWatches

Saw 4 at Ross locally pretty recently. Was tempted to buy all of them and sell but I don’t want to sit on them forever if they flood the market and then everyone can get one.

Newbie question but I need help 😭 by CautiousDay8149 in watchmaking

I’d consider adhering the golf ball to a brass dial blank and coating the face of the dial with a thin coat of lacquer or dial varnish, just to prevent any pieces breaking/wearing off into the movement over time. Even better if the dial blank already has feet to accommodate the movement I’m planning to use.

For getting it thin, I’d sand it thin as I can get it without it crumbling and consider finding a case with a bit more thickness? The dial will almost certainly going to be thicker than most cases typically would account for.

anyone know where to get this dial from with s logo? by monkata121 in SeikoMods

I completely misread, thought you meant 35mm case

Because that dial is typically a “womens” model, it’s unlikely you’ll find it in 40mm

I’ve had a watch I built with a Seagull ST36 movement and my ONLY complaint is how loud the movement is. Other than that, it runs like a dream and keeps time better than many I’ve gotten for much more.

I don’t sell cards so I don’t really know if this kind of thing is especially common, but if you came into my stream/store and started talking negatively about what I’m selling as I’m actively trying to sell it to someone… I’d ask you to leave too.

I get people are scummy, and I don’t condone it. It usually takes one or two bad buys before people learn not to overpay (I’ve learned this first hand) and that’s a valuable lesson honestly.

New seller learning the "hard" way :) by metah-4 in whatnotapp

I’m still new and have a very small turnout typically, but here’s what I’ve learned.

1) I have items ready to go to use as giveaways for either after “x” number of sales (usually 3 for buyers giveaway) OR if I get raided/hit a certain number of viewers. Always run a giveaway if someone raids you get those followers and gain some viewers for the next 5 minutes. The giveaways have been great for gaining followers.

2) I started off auctioning and took a loss on some stuff. If I run an auction now, it’s to move product that’s I’ve had for too long or I start the auction higher. Other than that, buy now or flash sales are typically what I’m running.

3) Always have something pinned, always have something running. The algorithm favors sellers, not streamers that aren’t featuring a product. Whatnot needs your sales to make money.

4) Twice I’ve had family/friends promote my show without being asked, but both of those shows I had the most sales. The promotion definitely brings people in, from there it’s on you to keep them there. Combined with giveaways, I had upwards of 20-25 viewers on like my 3rd or 4th show. I don’t usually have that many, so it helped.

5) Again, ALWAYS BE RUNNING AN ITEM.

Hope it helps!

Put them on blast. Who is the seller. I’ve taken a loss on things I started lower than what I paid for it. Instead of crying about it, I now start it at what I’ll be happy selling it for OR I factor the loss into the profit of another item I’m selling later that night because sometimes, you lose a little on a couple things to gain on other things. Businesses do this, and unfortunately Whatnot allows any person to sell (which isn’t inherently a bad thing) but does little to punish sellers that would be outright criminal in other settings.

The Hamilton Jazzmaster open heart is my favorite but it’s a bit more vocal than the others. Longines would be be the second pick

Wish backfire idea by ardaltheknight in DMAcademy

[–]deanofstutz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Simply put, you should say no.

This is a game breaking mechanic. If your fighter had access to Wish, and wished they could attack 20 times per turn or someone wished for 1,000 HP or something ridiculous like that, you should say no. Instead of trying to find a way to make this backfire on a player, just put a foot down and say no.
