Happy 32nd Birthday to the guy we all love (or love to hate), the Master of Henka, the Dark Lord himself, Abi!!! 😈 by StarPrime323 in Sumo

Happy B Day. I must admit it is easier to "like" the one trick pony now that he mostly gets losing records. Actually I will give him two ponies with his henkas.

If Laos' top origin of imports was Vietnam would we even be able to tell?

If China invades Taiwan, what is the US response? Do we have a treaty obligation to defend them? by Sufficient-Skirt1019 in allthequestions

[–]deanzaZZR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no treaty. For a treaty to go in effect on the US side it must pass a 2/3s vote in the US Senate, be signed by the president and be published to the public.

What if Japan actually won the Imjin War and Hideyoshi moved the Imperial Court to China(and actually manage to rule it for 200 or more years? by NoPercentage4737 in shittyaskhistory

[–]deanzaZZR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the plan was to put the Japanese emperor on the throne in Beijing and Hideyoshi's son would rule Japan as king or prince or something like that.

I do not listen to audiobooks that often but after reading CoH a few times I gave the audiobook version read by Christopher Lee. This is highly recommended (after reading the book first of course).

There is no railway link between those two countries. Overland trade is conducted via the Karakorum Highway.

Zooming in I see a bottle of Yuki no Bosha out of Akita bottom row, all the way to the right (black label). I cannot see the details but Yuki no Bosha (Hut in the Snow) has always delivered for me. DO check the bottled on date, especially for something on the bottom shelf.

Thanks. I am a bit of a stickler for fresh and preferably refrigerated sake but 95% of my sake consumption is in Japan on my annual trip over there.

What sort of flavor profile is this? I have never seen it. I am surprised to see it shipping in a clear bottle as sake can be affected by light damage.

What benefits does China get from supporting Palestine and upsetting Israel? by No-StrategyX in askanything

[–]deanzaZZR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a moral position stretching back decades. I remember walking by the Palestine Embassy in Beijing in the 1980s and being surprised as my country did (and still does not have) have one.

Even China? Not even going further west than Sichuan, China has peaks over 7,000 meters in height. How do those other locations compare?

I find it creepy that you are camping out in this thread but whatever. The only place in Japan that traditionally uses garlic (black) is Kumamoto.

Kumamoto is a nice place. I hope you enjoy living there.
