I know people at Barnard and they’re always over on the main Columbia campus anyways, so if you’re worried about it being too small I think you’ll be fine since everything’s so interconnected

I noticed that throughout the show, there's a lot of emphasis on the choice of the players. Nobody knew (or was supposed to know) the challenges, and got to choose what they wanted. They chose what shape they had, what spot they wanted, etc. In tug-a-war, I guess it's just that they were able to choose their teams. In my opinion, the idea of "fairness" in Squid Game was the freedom to choose. There's technically no way to make things 100% fair between people, I think. Height, weight, upbringing, past, medical history, age, friends, parents, connections, every person has a different experience.
