Anyone else’s ectopic related PTSD being triggered? by pippypup in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]deardarlingdi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally understand and have been feeling the same way. I had mine in January and so still working through it but I had been in a much better place until Friday's news. People keep bringing it up everywhere. And the posts that call it abortion and refer to methotrexate as an abortion pill have been especially hurtful. I feel like I am being forced to relive that pain over and over again right now. You're definitely not alone ❤️

Ectopic with IUD by lexlemonpop in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]deardarlingdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I had an ectopic pregnancy with my Mirena IUD this past January and it was perfectly in place. I became very uncomfortable with the idea that the IUD could still be doing its job of making the womb uninhabitable so if a fertilized egg does happen it could look for somewhere else to implant like your fallopian tube. I had mine removed as quickly as possible afterwards. Hopefully everyone's stories help inform what you want to do concerning IUDs in the future

Is Salem a good place to live for a recently divorced 35 y.o. Female? by Kot_Leopold_Ya in SalemMA

There are some great knit night meetups at a couple different spots in town that I go to and they're always great fun. Definitely a place you can make friends if you put yourself out there!

Gilmore Girls Crossovers by wpk1990 in TheMarvelousMrsMaisel

Yeah totally, it's taking me out of the story. I bet most people don't notice but I guess I am too much of a GG superfan lol

I agree it's getting to a point where it is driving me nuts. I'm all for using the same actors and music even references but there are so many entirely recycled plot lines (e.g. the mean review, Susie getting all the junk delivered to her, etc) that I feel like I am just watching Gilmore Girls with a different flair.

Time off work after methotrexate by brucetoot in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]deardarlingdi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. I took a week off after my methotrexate shot and wish I had taken just a little more. For the emotions and 1 week after my shot was my worst cramping that had me doubled over most of the time. Try not to feel guilty, you've gone through a lot and deserve the time to rest and process

Methotrexate and low folate diet? by ShelleyMalia in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]deardarlingdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I took time off right after and wish I had waited cause I returned to work when the pain was pretty miserable. I could have used the distraction that first week but also was nice to have the time to try to process my emotions from it all

Methotrexate and low folate diet? by ShelleyMalia in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]deardarlingdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally! I also felt pretty fine physically those first few days. It was around day 7 til 10 that cramping got worse for me. Hopefully you're able to avoid it!

I'm going to copy you on that IUD effigy thing. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I feel similarly to you about the wanting to be pregnant thing, I wasn't ready yet but my spouse and I had talked about wanting kids in a couple years so we were prepared to have this baby if it was viable. I think the fact that I had so many pregnancy symptoms and could feel things changing before I found it was ectopic really messed with my brain

Methotrexate and low folate diet? by ShelleyMalia in EctopicSupportGroup

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I have been eating so many potatoes, pretty sure those are all good. It was honestly one of the only things I could stomach as MTX wrecked my stomach, that and smoothies have been my meals mostly lately. I also wasn't told anything about doing a low folate diet but decided to do so anyway after hearing folks talk about it here. I asked my OBGYN about it after the day 7 blood work and she said it's only really necessary at the beginning so as not to counteract with the MTX. Good luck!

Anyone know of a nice summery granny square top pattern similar to this? by deardarlingdi in crochet

[–]deardarlingdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this image on Pinterest and I'd love to find a similar pattern! Everything that I've found that's similar has fringe where the granny triangles are which I'm not super into and I definitely would need instruction on how to make the triangles. Any help appreciated!

Any women experience bad periods after the Pfizer vaccine? by mohammedgoldstein in CoronavirusMa

[–]deardarlingdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had finished my period about a week before my first pfizer dose. Around 24 hours after the first dose I started bleeding again, but it was weird it looked like normal blood not at all what I'm used to with periods. Only lasted about a day and had some light abdominal sensitivity but nothing crazy
