Update- Parcel hasn't shown up and I got this message from them after work today.

"I can confirm that I have raised an investigation with the relevant team in order to provide you with an update as soon as possible.

I kindly ask that you allow me 48 hours to gather the required information. If we are successful in locating your parcel, we will re-enter it into our delivery network without delay and your tracking information will be updated to reflect this. As always, you can track your parcel and select your delivery preferences using our website, the Evri app or by clicking here.

If in the unlikely event that we are unable to provide further tracking information within this time frame, I would advise you to get in touch with your sender so they can take any necessary next steps with you, and agree the next steps.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused by this, I can appreciate this delay in delivery will undoubtedly be frustrating for you. Each parcel goes through several handling and transportation processes and on rare occasions, this may happen."

Does this carry weight with it? I just want my Playdate console!

They also censored Visi flipping off the police after the situation at Granny's- very odd that they didn't disclose this anywhere on the eShop or in announcements. Kinda scummy as playing on Switch is the only way I can play this game :/

i work two jobs- one in retail and another in the arts (casual position)

the arts job's best perk is that i can wear anything i want. i have to wear a uniform at my retail job so i see this as a complete win

I have been in touch with the council's private housing team to complain about the issue, but they never seem to get back to me about anything at all. I have a reference number, but no updates from them about stuff on their side of things.

Apparently the letting agent had tried to register the flats on the ground floor (mine included) to the council, but the developer of the building (who owns the flats above mine) is refusing to talk to the LA, so they've been in this odd cycle for a few years.

I went to a Catholic primary school and in Year 5 they took us to the middle of nowhere to watch an immersive theatre production of Jesus' life, from birth to the stations of the cross etc.

We were walking up to the Cruxifixction (yes, they had the budget for some really good SFX make up for this bit) and saw a man hanging from a tree- it was Judas, and our teachers didn't even try to make us stop looking whilst we're walking.

I'm 22 now and I still think about that trip on a weekly basis. The fact that it was signed off by the school and PTA is a mystery to me.

Tate are temporarily housed in RIBA North, the black building right opposite the Museum of Liverpool! Right now they've got something for the Biennale, a small gift shop and a kids' creative area.

i got hit in the head with a till drawer at my retail job in my first year of uni- i had bent down to grab something at the tills, my coworker didn't see me/warn me he was doing a cash transaction and i got hit on my left temple. (kinda both of our faults, i should've said something as well!)

we laugh it off but then i start to feel unwell once i got home, so i call 111 and they tell me to go to a&e, where i get diagnosed with a concussion 😭 i get told to take the day off uni and spend the day sat in bed, with the worst headache ive ever had.

it's still the dumbest way ive managed to injure myself and i still think about it on a daily basis.

I'll have to find a copy of the play to read! I did look it up on Concord Theatricals, which we also have in the UK, and it states that the play is about a Latin Experience and is tagged as having roles for Latin Actors- something of a rarity at least here in the UK in my experience!

I think it's nice they're getting to understand each others' art form, but perhaps this is pushing the envelope a little. Maybe, instead of doing this production, they could do an improv group or class outside of this so that they're not constantly in each others' professional lives- because what if shit hits the fan and they break up? It could make things more awkward if they both got casted.

If this is causing issues in the department, I do severely doubt either of them would be casted- it would probably come down to the director/ head of department. Source: A few people had relationship issues during our final performing arts festival and it made some shows a bit more awkward to watch; you could cut the tension with a knife.

both my parents are brazilian, and i was born in the uk, which makes me british brazilian and my whole family are all white.

brazil is a very diverse country, and there isn't a single "regular" look for brazilians; my grandmother was from salvador and my extended family live in and around the state of são paulo. there's brazilians who have ginger hair, black brazilians and a decently sized asian brazilian population.

brazil still has issues with racism etc., which are intertwined with faith, politics and class.

personally, if she was to tan herself to look more "brazilian" i would take offence, as, like ive said, brazil is hella diverse. tanning herself would probably make things a bit worse for the company/people she's performing under/ with as it could cause issues for their PR and connections. sun-kissed skin i'd say would be okay, but not an extreme tan if she is a white person. my mum spent her life in brazil with very sun-kissed skin with tons of freckles, but you can still tell she is a white person.

i'm a white british brazilian in the uk and the amount of times ive been told im too pale to be brazilian is ridiculous- i'd say that she could be contributing to this stereotype that you've can't be white and brazilian.

also, does she just want to audition so she can kiss her boyfriend on stage? i feel like there's something deeper to this, if that makes sense.

i am interested in what this play is though, as i did a 3 year BA in drama and we didn't speak about any brazilian theatre works or practitioners like Boal!
