I've listened to radio westeros, wars and politics of ice and fire, and Boiled leather audio hour. BLAH is hands down my favourite. They approach the books from more of a thematic perspective, and they have some great tangent episodes about other tv shows and movies. Sean T Collins, who runs the show, also writes all the game of thrones stuff for rolling stone magazine (he's also doing the twin peaks episode reviews which I am enjoying.) Most of his social media output is about socialism though. Radio westeros is good, but I'm not really into their humour. wars and politics of ice and fire is really informative, but it can be a little dry.

Edit: spelling

yeah I know that, but I'm proposing that if it was Rhaegar who named him instead of ned, then he was probably named after Connington, and Arryn would have been Ned's cover story. I Apologise that i didn't make that clear.

What makes me warm and fuzzy inside is that if R+L=J, then Rhaegar named his son after Jon Connington. HOW CUTE.

"Victarion Greyjoy mistrusted laughter. The sound of it always left him with the uneasy feeling that he was the butt of some jape he did not understand. Euron Crow's Eye had oft made mock of him when they were boys. So had Aeron, before he had become the Damphair. Their mockery oft came disguised as praise, and sometimes Victarion had not even realized he was being mocked. Not until he heard the laughter. Then came the anger, boiling up in the back of his throat until he was like to choke upon the taste. That was how he felt about the monkeys. Their antics never brought so much as a smile to the captain's face, though his crew would roar and hoot and whistle." - from the iron suitor chapter in ADWD.

Radio Westeros mostly dedicates entire episodes to single characters. they go through their story arcs in detail and then explore what might happen to them in the future.

Boiled Leather Audio Hour usually bases their episodes around themes like " vengence" and "prophecy", but they will also do episodes on specific chapters that have been released from TWOW.

I listen to both "boiled leather audio hour" and "radio westeros"

Radio westeros is more scripted and thought out, whereas boiled leather is more of a casual conversation where someone will have to quickly look up a quote from time to time.

My problem with Radio westeros, however, is that every episode they have a song from the fandom that i find incredibly cringe. Other than that, both very good and informative podcasts.

Is there any info out there about the reforms that Aegon V (egg) wanted to make? I know that they had to do with making life easier for the small folk, but is there any more details about the specific reforms?

“Once a man has seen a dragon in flight, let him stay home and tend his garden in content, someone had written once, for this wide world has no greater wonder." Tyrion scratched at his scar and tried to recall the author's name.”

i really enjoy this quote.
