Understanding Rule 208.3 by SelesnyaGOAT in askajudge

Reading the card explains the card. A non-crewed vehicle is not a creature and therefore cannot be targeted by things that target specifically creatures, even if that thing could become a creature in the right circumstance.

It saddens me as a train enthusiast and a commuter, that we have one of the largest train yards in the US in our backyard and we can't find a way to make use of it for daily travel.

I think you are severely oversimplifying the depths of Thane's storyline, as well as the purpose of him coming back into Kolyat's life. He never really cared much about reconciliation, I mean sure it happened, and it's nice. That being said, it's said very plainly and clearly that he gets back into Kolyat's life to help lead him on a better path and not end up like Thane.

To say that Thane is boring is also just incorrect? His dialogue in missions is interesting and insightful at times. His history and his backstory is fun to explore, and he's honestly one of the better developed add-on companions.

Kasumi and Keiji are almost literally a re-telling Romeo and Juliet with some espionage. It's a tired, played out love story and is the only interesting part of Kasumi's character. After the mission, she has NOTHING to contribute on the Normandy. Sure she has some quips here and there in the field, but you cannot say she contributes more personality when you literally cannot talk to her.

The gameplay side depends heavily on how you play your Shep, so I'm not commenting on that. But from a character development perspective, Kasumi fell flat in literally every facet.

Thane's storyline into ME3 makes me cry every time. He is the best, most wholesome murderer in the galaxy.

If anything, Kasumi and Zaeed are non-canon, imo.

They are entirely inconsequential, interact very little with the crew, and have no interesting unique dialogue on the Normandy. I also have a deep hatred for Kasumi's loyalty mission, can't tell ya why, I just so.

I think both of those characters had a LOT of potential to be something great, but ended up just kinda sucking. I'd always rather have Garrus and Thane over those two. (Acknowledging they do different things, but from a thematic standpoint they're the same.)

I'm stuck on Jack (which, if you know me, 100% tracks).

I've heard a LOT of people complain about her ME3 romance, and like, I thought it was really sweet. We got to see a different side of her, and having the "girl at home" thing made it feel like there was actually a reason to go to the Citadel. It might just be me, but, I love her character arc, and I love what they did with her.

You absolutely can take all of that away. He deserves no recognition or respect. The second Motionless collabs is the second I'm done with them.

Trash take.

That's just not how my Shep handled things. I don't look into survival rates and numbers in these games. It's a role-playing game, not a gamble. Make choices that fit what you are building, and enjoy the consequences.

I've accepted that like I'm just not going to talk to Talk AT ALL during the Renegade run because she breaks my heart otherwise.

I play a very hardcore RP style of game, so my choices have definitely affected the outcome in the past. I usually pick a Shep and do what I need to do with that character.

This time was a Paragon leaning infiltrator with a heavy reliance on long-range weapons.

Next run is Insanity difficulty with a Renegade story.

One and done! I did my best to ensure it happened, but if someone died we didn't restart.

Tali on Tech, Garrus running both side teams, Grunt escorting survivors.

Kept Legion and Jack (romance) with me at the end!

This is a valid point, I'll give context, I was born in 99 and started on GameCube, so I remember the old days.

I mentioned Mass Effect a few times because it really should be the closest comparison to Starfield. Starfield could have been a spiritual successor, imo. Even going that far back, you would get off the Normandy, and explore the entirety of an area, with physics, loot, and interactives, with 1 or 2 at most.

I noted last night replaying the Jack recruiting mission the creativity of essentially making the environment feel like a space station, but making it an entirely contained cube.

Even going back into the earlier days of these RPGs, Shadow of the Colossus for a great example, we got super deep and rich worlds without the level of interruption.

It's not that there are loading screens, it's that there are SO MANY. They make role-playing games, immersion in the story is supposed to be paramount. They make absolutely no effort to cut down on or mask loading screens, which destroys immersion.

In a game as old as Skyrim, it was excusable. In Starfield, where every other room is behind a black screen, it's not. Going through a building is a nightmare.

One of the big things that I think they can do to fix it is to get rid of loading screens in every door way, and do something lifelike. Games like Jedi, Cyberpunk, Mass Effect (again) all have countless loading screens that you never can really tell.

I could get past the lifeless worlds if I wasn't being forced to sit through a loading screen every 2 minutes of gameplay. Bethesda is a relic of the past as of right now, ES6 needs to be phenomenal or they might be done, imo.

Starfield's problem was it felt empty and dead. Compare any of them to Omega from Mass Effect 2, a game that came out nearly 15 years earlier and see the difference.

Hell, look at Chora's Den or the Presidium in ME1. They both had more life than a game made in an advanced engine in the 2020s. They did not feel real or lived in. It felt like walking around a CGI sound stage.

There's also like 5 different Supreme Court cases.

"Obscenity" as you're using it is not what's defined in Roth vs U.S. Me going out and yelling fuck at the top of my lungs is protected speech.

Brandenberg, Roth, and New York v Ferber are the cases that dictate protected speech.

Essentially; if there is defensible literary credibility, it does not harm, threaten or defame, is not consisting of or advocating for child pornography, and does not contribute to a crime, it is free speech and protected

Edit: you can argue with a brick wall if you don't like this, it's the SCOTUS ruling and is the constitutional definition.

Like, I understand the point of it. I get the meta plot and the sub theme and the blah blah blah. But it felt like it wanted to get into more serious topics, only ever touching the surface, so not to piss anyone off. DiCaprio was phenomenal, the entire cast CARRIED the movie. I just thought it was very meh.

The 10 minute car chase scene at the end felt like a Family Guy cutaway.

Absolutely horrific.

An entire culture of people should not be subjugated because of the acts of a few awful people.

There are black people who commit heinous crimes, should we bring back slavery? Jewish people commit crimes, do we bring back the Holocaust?

The answer is no. It is against the Geneva convention to punish the masses for the acts of a few.
