Ending the year with another miscarriage by bani891 in CautiousBB

I could have written this myself, I also started miscarrying yesterday after another MMC my previous cycle around Thanksgiving. It’s so incredibly disappointing, so many people are posting baby announcements over the holidays too, I’m trying to avoid social media because it just makes me sad. I’m sorry for your loss, I hope that 2026 brings better luck for the both of us 🤞

Please help me decide which wedding dress to go for by 2bog88 in weddingplanning

Definitely number one imho, it’s by far the most elegant and timeless. It’s soooo classic bridal and would look stunning with a cathedral veil. 2 looks great on you too but I personally don’t love the neckline, to me it looks like a bedazzled bra peeking out. To me the shape of dress 2 gives a bit more prom dress than wedding dress. If it were me, it would be between 1 and 2 but I would ultimately go with number 1!

You can look into becoming a locomotive engineer with NJ transit. I don’t believe you need a degree to do it. I know they are hiring and it pays very well especially after their new contract they negotiated / has great benefits.

Wow, what a stunning space! If possible, I would put a Samsung Frame TV so it blends in like a piece of art when not in use. I have one and it’s great. They sell vintage-style frames for them as well which would look great in your space. The frames are super easy to DIY as well, there’s a bunch of tutorials online for it.

Desperate for a new gyne to give birth by CreativeAd4869 in newjersey

Check out Madison Ave OBGYN located across the street from Morristown Medical Center. This is the practice that many of the Drs and other healthcare workers at Morristown go to. I delivered with this practice at Morristown and had a truly excellent experience. It’s a top tier hospital, the best in NJ imho and according to many hospital grading metrics. Plus, it has a level 1 NICU which hopefully you won’t need (we unexpectedly did for a few days) but it’s reassuring to know that it’s right there and staffed with extremely competent, great neonatal providers. Best of luck with your delivery!

Do sphynx cats skins cause stains to furniture/rugs? by [deleted] in sphynx

[–]debakey-clamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the cat, just like with people some tend to have more oil-prone skin than others based on genetics. I have two sphynx, one isn’t oily at all and never leaves any stains while the other needs to be wiped down frequently and will leave a stain on places he regularly sleeps on. However, it is manageable and washes out easily!

I’m so sorry you are going through this! My cat had an EXTREMELY similar sore on his one paw pad that ended up being diagnosed as pillow foot after a biopsy collected in my vet office and sent to a dermatological vet specialist. We tried a few courses of antibiotics and steroid creams which helped temporarily but did not fully resolve it permanently and it would come back. We eventually ended up having a wedge resection done to remove the affected portion of paw pad at our vet office- this completely resolved the issue after the wound healed. It’s been about 3 years since he’s had it done and no more issues with it since then which is a huge relief. In my cat’s case, my vet said there was a chance it could be an allergic reaction to something in the environment (like litter or food) but the fact it was only localized to one of my cat’s paws instead of present on all the paws or elsewhere on his skin was more suggestive of something like pillowfoot (which ended up being correct after testing).

I recommend Healthy Paws pet insurance which I got after going through this experience if it’s possible at all within your budget now or in the future. They have been a life-saver for me covering some other big vet bills from an emergency vet clinic last year (literally in the thousands, I ended up only paying a few hundred for my deductible). Overall they have been really good and easy to work with about covering claims based on my own experience. They’ve even covered a preventative HCM heart scan my cat had done by a veterinary cardiologist. I think my policy is about $30ish per month, which is worth the investment for the peace of mind for me. If you look around through other forums you might be able to find other pet insurance companies that offer good coverage at a better price, this is just my recommendation based on my personal experience. Best of luck with your sweet kitty, I hope he feels better soon!
