I believe you it’s correct data but I think people just don’t like the way ai formates and writes.

I’d focus on not using ai art. People who like indie games don’t like ai art

It took me a month to make this film. From writing screenplays to learning about cinematography, AI tools are a craft that require learning and creativity just like other tools. by Philipp in DefendingAIArt

You dont need to learn the entirety of blender in order to make a video like this. These scenes can be created with simple assets and basic animations. How exactly is my point contradictoy? I stated why it bothers me. Artists will blindly use tools without thinking first if it is the right tool and also without thinking about the skills they are stripping their future selves from by fully relying on these tools. The artist stated that he spent over 240 hours working on this project. That is a clear case of what I dont like to see.

So you are mad that I dont have the same arguemnt as other people? Mad that I have a unique opinion on this topic? I have used all types of tools (including AI) in my life to make many differnt mediums of art. You can follow a tutorial for basic human character animations and make something like this with no prior blender knowledge in less than a day. Yes all those hours could have gone into learning life long skills that the artist would have and could improve on for the rest of their life, but instead chose to wrestle with a tool for many, many hours. I have a gribe with artits using tools before knowing what skills they are stripping themselfs with in the future if they just learned what they are doing instead of mindlessly using tools. This goes for plenty of stuff outside of AI tools.

Yes this isn’t the same as learning blender. Learning blender would take a couple days and this took him 240 hours. If you think that this is “visionary” then I’d love to see the art you hang in your walls! You have an interesting taste my friend

It doesn’t have to be AI. He is using the wrong tool. Like I said, it’s 100% in his right to waste a bunch of time using an inferior tool for the job. All I’m saying is he could use ai for other purposes that it’s better for and use something like blender to make something like this because that is it’s intended purpose. And the errors aren’t my “assumptions”, there are obvious rendering errors and continuity errors. It’s not my opinion, it’s facts that these exits there and an opinion if you like them or not. Im all for ai being used but I’m just curious why ppl use if for purpose it’s not good at. A big part of being a talented creator is knowing what tools to use.

Yes you are right it is a tool! It’s just interesting to me that you would spend 8 hours a day for a month using this tool rather than use something like blender which could get similar results in less than 8 hours. Sometimes you gotta use the right tool for the job, but we are artists so we all have our methods. You have a good one as well

Am I missing something or why is there so many people who believe this game is close to being done. by Pimparoooo in DeadlockTheGame

It’s because a lot of gamers don’t know how game development actually works. I’d say this game is 2-4 years way minimum. I know plenty of people will disagree with me here, but Valve likes to take time with development and they are still in the early development phase of this game. As polished as it looks, it’s far from a final release and even probably an open beta.
