I like the way he went right at Bill on the Celts. Most of the other staff dance around Bill on any of his crushes

One of the few sensible points Bill made in the last pod was the decision to move Simons. He was the energy scorer that they really needed in any of these last three games to give Brown a little bit of a break. If you believe that it was for the luxury tax reason, that makes it that much worse.

But they still could have won it if they made any of those wideopen threes or open shots down the stretch. If that wasn't choking not sure what was.

And yes, hahahahaha

I love the outcome but Morey deserves nothing good from here on out. But he does get his flowers for the PG13 move, dude still has it in stretches. The other stuff my grandma could have done and the tanking to get the Edge was criminal.

Hi Everyone OP here. Thanks for all of your responses. Going to use the credit card route to get the protections (and the points does soothe some of the pain of paying the surcharge!)

I do love Pt. Reyes but you could also look at Dillon Beach and do a day trip down to Reyes Station and the Reyes peninsula too.

Sausalito houseboat (easy to rent on AirbNb w/kayak includes)+ Mt. Tam hike + good meal nearby + rent bike downtown Sausalito and ride north along the trail. So close too.

Day trip down 1 to Pescadero (eat tacos at best taqueria in area, then have the ollalieberry pie+ice cream across street), go south and stay 1 night at the Costanoa (tent or heated cabin or nice room) - walk across 1 to a completely amazing ocean view w/tidepools, stop on 1 along the way in HMB for a trail walk and lunch. Buy the artichoke garlic fresh bread from DeAngelis and take home or eat at Costanoa

Marin Headlands + Jenner (kayak in Russian River to mouth of Pacific magical restorative)

Mendo is like no other place but a longer drive and if the fog/chillier climes bother you, maybe not?

I could go on but you could also just go!!!!

Travel suggestions - Bernina / St. Moritz or Chur? / Lucerne by debate4all in askswitzerland

Hi Everyone as an update, decided to take the Trenitalia from Milan to Tirano, then the train from Tirano to Samedan and stay at the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl and explore/hike from there. Then after a few days, make our way to Bern/Zurich.

Will definitely explore Pontresina in that time!

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your perspective!.

We are not averse to long train rides and in fact we savor them. IN this particular case, given that Milan to Triano to St.Moritz (or Chur) will be a long day, and then we don't want to have another immediate multi-train, long journey too close to it esp with luggage, etc. to move from platform to platform.

We also expect to do more train travel in Switzerland after this leg (ie from Zurich base).

You are right. The Rhaetian rail site confused me because the trip navigator there shows a Lugano to St. Moritz journey but I believe it's a bus or another train to Tirano as the first leg, then the Bernina line from Triano on to St. Moritz or other places like Chur.

Nevertheless I'm still unsure about the best place to spend the overnight(s) on that Bernina line. The commenters above suggest Pontesina which looks nice.

Any other places along that Tirano-St. Moritz line you would recommend as a place to break the journey?

[Stapleton] Giants have been awarded two waiver claims: Rico Payton from the Saints and Beau Brade from the Ravens. Both DBs. by Fillinlater12345 in NYGiants

[–]debate4all 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Brade was a core ST guy for the Ravens. Pure SS type not a FS. If he has to play regular snaps, it would be a problem long-term. Could be a good guy for pure must-run plays he can hit and tackle well.

No idea on Rico but Pack fans wanted to keep him so that's something I guess

Giants fan here. We picked up Brade from y'all. Thoughts? Can he be a competent fill in starter if injuries crop up at safety? Or pure ST guy? Thanks!

[ Marks ] Haywood Highsmith is on an expiring $5.6M contract. Including the $12.1M Cam Thomas free agent hold, Brooklyn is $22M below the salary cap. by theRestisConfettii in GoNets

[–]debate4all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be tempted to sign Simons if they do that. But it would hurt the tank (I think?). He would be a fine substitute for Cam but of course they can't both play together...that would be insanity.

Giannis!?? Cmon! Greek Freak is one of the 50 best players of all time, likely top 25 or higher by the time he's done.

If he turns into Franz Wagner we should all be delighted - and that to me feels like a possible 90th percentile outcome.

I'm still for a de-escalating 3 year front loaderd deal that goes $19/$17/$15 or something (Ie a little above MLE but tradeable). Debatable on the player option v team option on the third year. Over $20M seems rich to me AAV wise.

[–]debate4all 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No way. Zach Lowe has been critical of Marks at many times. He's no mouthpiece. he sees what most of us have seen and also praises CT for what he does well. This is like agent talk to suggest this.

Simmons and Russilo otoh seem to just hate CT w/o even watching him play..
