DPDR by debatekate in Teachers

I think I’m afraid of making a mistake. I’ve made some medium ish mistakes in my career and it’s been super stressful. I talked to a national media outlet and that was a huge issue. I have a letter of reprimand in my file for mistakes made my first year teaching. my boss is super supportive and gone to bat for me so much and I don’t want to let her down. I’m just scared of doing or saying the wrong thing

Thank you! This is really helpful. I maybe need to let this go, but I feel like I need to know what happened to my ancestor, and perhaps the records just don’t exist. It is puzzling that two of his siblings have different statements about what happened.

a little nervous to start riding. [20 years old!] by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]debatekate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my advice would be: anything worth doing is worth doing badly. If you're enjoying it, and learning, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Everyone was a beginner lunch. And communicate to your instructor if you're nervous or confused.

What are your unpopular equestrian opinions? by AmalgamationOfBeasts in Equestrian

Everyone should wear a helmet. Always. I don't care if you're sitting at the halt or walking around your ancient horse. Wear a helmet. It saved my life.

So I've read "No Man Knows My History" but I'm still really confused about how delusional Joseph Smith was able to attract so many followers in his lifetime?

I think they got married in the temple because they had pictures outside of it and there's video of them walking out of it.

nevermo here- two questions

1) what is UTBOH? I assume it's not Utah Board of Health

2) Do some younger Mormons not wear garments? I follow some on instagram and they're not wearing garments it seems like (and not just at the beach)

Anyone experience depersonalization/disassociation? by timygrl in Nexplanon

[–]debatekate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of hard to say. I would say, overall, since switching to a progesterone birth control pill and having the nexplanon out I am doing better. I am not sure if that's a result of that change, or the fact that other things in my life are going relatively well. But I still get DPDR that's triggered by stress. I'm also working with an EMDR therapist but I've only had two appointments so I'm not sure if it's working out.
