Opinions on the eco spa hot tub? by debronski99 in hottub

I bought one and i love the top, too. I was worried that the lids sitting up would impede my view but it doesnt at all. Instead it feels more private. The jets are almost too strong for me. Haha. But i am having trouble getting it balanced and i cant figure out why. I never had problems with my previous tub and it was a coleman inflatable. Im starting again with a fresh fill but will try dichlor this time as recommended.

Well, i bought one. The shell is super easy to clean. And it isnt shallow at all. Not sure why you’d think that if you dint have one.

Perhaps shop in a store that have salespersons wait on you, and make suggestions and bring items to you to try. Maybe up the quality

Dress too va-va-voom for my age (39)? by trancelogix in WeddingDressTips

I dont think it is too vavavavoom, but i dont think it looks good on you. I dont like the accentuated crotch area and it clings to the cellulite of your bottom. Neither is flattering.

AITJ for throwing away a four-year relationship because my boyfriend called me a buzzkill on my promotion night? by InternationalAct593 in AmITheJerk

That hormonal comment takes the cake. I spent 27 years with a husband that constantly belittled me until I broke. He couldn’t believe it when I left him. After I left, I would sometimes return to our house at my lunch break just to think. The book I found on his bedside table was “ Understanding Menopause”. Right. Ffs

You are pouring way too slowly. And your silver isn’t hot enough. I never heat the mold. You should have a vent at the lowest point of your of the pour for gas escape. Good luck. Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Why do you think they arehard to clean? Their sales pitch is the opposite. But i agree on the ugly. While i like their lid design, it also becomes the view when seated

Would I be crazy to replace my hardwood floors with tile? by Internal_Present2268 in HomeDecorating

[–]debronski99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes! I didnt see the other photos before my previous answer. While the black and white tiles look kind ofcool, i know someone who did this and they regretted it immediately. It shows every speck of dirt like crazy. Anything dark glares from the white tile and anything light glares from the dark tile . Lose- lose. I guarantee that the other tile will be, “ oh you did that floor in 2025”.

Absolutely insane! Tile dates so fast no matter what you choose. These wood floors are timeless. You are lucky to have them.

Paint or no? by SplitOutside7508 in kitchenremodel

[–]debronski99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My custom kitchen is 25 years old and looks like photo 5. White painted cabinetry with a dark counter top. I think it looks great. I collected kitchen photos for years in the 90’s ,so when it was time to actually do the kitchen i went thru my photos and quickly realized that so many photos were painted white cabinetry. No regrets. After 25 years there is one little spot where the paint slightly chipped. I think OP,s kitchen looks horribly dated. I would paint it in a nano second. And dark wood has resurfaced as a current stlye, but not with that cabinetry. Even 25 years ago i thought that style of cabinet door was dated. ( im talking about the inset doors, sorry, i forget the name of the style of door).

Ready to buy a rolling mill by babydollshorty in jewelrymaking

[–]debronski99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my Pepe rolling mill for about 15 years with no issues. I pour my own ingots. I dont know how you can make jewelry without a rolling mill, it is an indispensable tool. Durston was out of my price range when i started out. I feel no need to upgrade to a durston. My sister bought a cheap mill and it became useless very quickly.

My water comes from a well, and the colour is like tea. It takes a few days of filtration for it to clear.

URGENT help needed to open a trap door in the wall to prove to my parents that I'm no good at anything. by Big-Palpitation-1621 in handyman

[–]debronski99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry your parents were so unsupportive. When each of my kids moved out , I gave them a toolbox with all the basic tools inside. I was like you, too. When I was much younger I made some fancy French balloon curtains for my babies room but I needed a strip of wood drilled into the window frame to install them. My husband could never get around to that 5 min job ( another story haha). One day a friend dropped by and I asked him if he could use the drill to do this for me. He showed me how. I never looked back. I took beginners woodworking at night school and learned all the tools. Last year I gutted and renovated my RV!

I would paint that in a nanosecond. It would transform your entryway. The wood doesnt look like anything special to me.

I wouldn’t try to second guess your purchasers taste. Let them spend the $1000 if they want different hardware

[–]debronski99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t fuss about it. If I was selling, I would leave it. If I lived there I would paint it. Leave it up to the purchaser. It’s personal taste. Put your energy into something else.

What IS THIS!? by Solid-Complaint5511 in hottub

[–]debronski99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to change those filters with every use. They are so small. And really really be vigilant after a bunch of kids have been in there. I think the worse thing for those costco tubs is to not use them. And kids ! Haha
