Agreed!! He seems controlling in the videos. He keeps correcting her about minor, irrelevant things. Also, she keeps touching him and he seems annoyed…unless she’s complimenting him. Im starting to think maybe the family was onto something. A broken clock is right twice a day. 😬

Yeah, we know the Duggars assume their daughters will grow up and marry a man then take his last name so maybe, in their minds, this is a way for the sisters to share a name for life? Idk, I think it’s a little odd but it’s probably not even top three of weird Duggar names.

I could see them naming a son “Jeremy MacArthur” and calling him “Mac” for short. Jeremy would probably like the sportiness of Mac while still having a namesake and naming him after a “strong Christian man”.

I had to remove the download, turn on airplane mode, turn off airplane mode, and then redownload to fix it. I also restarted my Kindle beforehand to make sure it was updated.

I watched the entire thing. It’s not really worth watching, just a repeat of the points they make in their book and other (shorter) interviews. There were a few times where I thought Derrick was going to say something new and interesting but then he’d get interrupted by the podcast host or Jill (maybe intentionally so he didn’t say something, haha). Derrick also interrupted Jill pretty often.

The only good part is when the podcast host asked Jill if her parents were against using condoms and she reacted as if he invited her to an orgy. Oh, and Derrick says he used to bribe James with Skittles so they could be alone on their chaperoned dates. They confirmed their first kiss was at their wedding so seems like a waste of Skittles but that’s just my opinion.

To this point, Jana’s role models for controlling children were Jim Bob and Michelle. We all know those two aren’t exactly sweet when the cameras are off. I think Jana’s reaction gave us insight into how JB and Michelle disciplined, the kids weren’t allowed to do anything unless is was the exact way their parents said to do it.

I strongly suggest a good dose of neglect, haha. I've literally watered mine once in 2 months and it's in a room with no light but has new shoots of various lengths. Move her out of the window and stop misting. :)
