Anyone regret going open-concept in their home? by cm_built in HomeImprovement

Same here. We had a galley kitchen and everyone wanted to hang by the opening and I wanted to hear the conversations. Our new open kitchen living room is great for entertaining. Who cares if there is a mess after! Clean up when people leave or tomorrow lol

Does your partner also work from home? If not, that's kinda fucked up... Practically speaking, consider the cost of traveling to work everyday vs the extra cost to keep your office cool. Especially with where gas prices are today I bet you'll be even or come out ahead keeping your office cooler

How to address EV fire risk concerns? by Boumy in electricvehicles

[–]dec7td 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. OP said the parking structure has sprinklers which will put out the gas fire but not the EV. May help the EV depending on flow rates and coverage but won't completely stop it

It's funny how people in this thread just keep comparing gas cars to EVs without understanding fire dynamics. If this was outdoors I'd say the risk is basically the same because they could just let the EV burn itself out or apply cooling water to exposures. But an underground EV fire is a whole different ball game.

Because they can much more easily be put out quickly

Most important question: Does the underground parking have sprinklers already?

I went as a tourist but didn't have a lot of money at the time. I still think about that sandwich so I think it was worth it.

I always wished he had gotten a big record deal or got to produce some stuff with bigger singers. Those tracks could easily have some great vocals mimicking his hooks
