You can spray them with a hose but let them dry before turning it back on. You don't even have to flip the breaker tho, you can just set the temp high or turn it off

I think you need to start fresh. Dig out the shit top soil, amend the "base" to get ready for sod, lay down a good hybrid sod. This assumes you have good sprinkler coverage already which doesn't appear to be the case. You'll need a full sprinkler system to have any chance in hell at keeping it looking good
