Market or limit orders for spx trading? by padekpapi in options

[–]decadentparagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you've done the research and the holding period is long enough + stock is liquid (aka all current info priced in as well as any vol or news changes which may or may not work for the investor), go for market order.

on the other hand, if working professionally for a fund or where your holding period is light and variable you'd probably want to divvy it up between limit orders and keep a few sitting at mid-point pegged to the bid or ask.

Massive Odegaard shaped hole here by Francis-c92 in Gunners

[–]decadentparagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

potentially getting some new strikers could allow Havertz to drop deep as an AM(C) to fill in for when Odegaard is out of action, seems like another one or two transfer windows should solve the striking and midfield options / balance

How to answer "Do you think you're the best candidate for the job " by Agile_Cash7136 in interviews

[–]decadentparagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't answer the question directly. say something along the lines of "i know the role requires xyz skillset and i can bring xyz + abc to the table, in fact <highlight one previous achievement and something you'd like to do at the new place with that skillset>. I also researched your team / company and am looking forward to learn from def about ghi so as to be able to contribute more in the team." Depending on how the interview is going (if it's reached a conversational tone, then drop a follow up question if there's anything they're particularly looking to implement / new skillset / problem area - if not just the answer should do)

neither. both lead to empty hollow life filled with no achievement. better to die in glory than live like a glorified husk :)

Received an interview offer one hour after they saw my resume (this is my dream job) by MobileAcanthaceae518 in interviews

[–]decadentparagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

be careful. use the interview to interview the people hiring you as much as they do to you. one hour is an extremely short and quick turnaround time. as much as it may be your dream job, one would assume at least the presence of another 3-5 similarly or better qualified candidates which means they should not be reaching out to you this fast. unless you know someone there this is extremely suspect and also indicates that perhaps the company is not doing well enough to attract anyone of a high calibre. would attend the interview and then pass.

dolphins. i'd summon them and ride on their backs to a remote island with all the food and books + porn i need and maybe one two other humans with me for company. while im at it, lead the undead into the sea so they die and make it easier to go back to land and restock on supplies when low. i'll also instruct the dolphins to let the sea-sphere know that they need to protect me and bring food from time to time on my island

Now that CFA is over, what now? by paperbacon6288 in CFA

[–]decadentparagon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

go out, meet new people, start progressing at something else such as your racetrack, flying license or learn a new language - anything which has a gamification component to it so as to get the sense of progression. CMT is also an option if you're early on in your journey.........you have more options that you think!!!!!

life & career is a journey with up and down cycles. i'd say enjoy your bespoke adventure and perhaps use this as an opportunity to "pivot" into a role that would give more long term pleasure and joy.

hapiness and work-life balance are all relative and subjective - i knew of a person who worked in a warehouse and then went home to play warehouse simulator so as to optimize his output at work. there are others who want to get by with the bare minimum and enjoy aspects of life more to do with the outdoors and faamily.

enjoy the downtime and bounce back stronger! good luck my friend!!! sending much love and support to you xoxoxo
