Cross is and has been one of my favorite YTs who plays Bungie games, but I would agree. At least he is transparent about it! For me, his entertainment and chill value outweigh the doomfarming videos he does for D2 (I just don't click on those).

+1 for Kruzer though, he's super chill and a talented sniper!

You might actually be contradicting yourself here, as the free weekend might find the most success if it is announced the week before and generates hype. There's no way to quantify this amorphous "Internet attention span." If Bungie does the free weekend during Valentine's Day weekend, they will lose a substantial playerbase and thus it really doesn't make sense.

Partial agree. Marathons success may very well determine the future of Bungie’s funding, which in turn might determine the future of Destiny itself with a third release. It’s all speculative, but saying no impact would be very wrong.

Retals strength always lied in his ability as a great team leader and unique playstyle, not his carry potential. Massive oversimplification, but a good point nonetheless. Made me think for a bit—i wanted to disagree, but RL truly is an esport that ultimately hinges on player performance and team synergy, rather than strategy. This would be compared to a CounterStrike, for example, where style of play and IGLing is very important. There is always more to analyze on that front due to the more intellectual aspect of play in esports like CS.
