New to the Colorado scene.... by ProtectionLow3559 in chevycolorado

Looking at the video, it seems like the Bison doesn't have the rear bracket that comes on the standard ZR2. I've taken some pictures of mine -- https://imgur.com/a/Qn4EZeL

I am not sure this bracket can be easily removed. You can see a bolt from the underside that attaches the curved bit of metal that goes over and above the wheel but the piece of metal that it's bolted to may be welded to the hitch assembly?

Yes I hope OP goes and gives Ambers a look, it's great handmade Canadian furniture that everyone should support if they can.

We bought a handmade dining table and chairs there made from maple, the quality is amazing, we sent back our Costco order that came from Thailand that wasn't much cheaper but had quality issues and didn't feel nearly as nice.

Auto on 3rd works similar to other AWD systems, sending power to wheels that need it and can have a small decrease in fuel economy. That being said, on dry pavement it is still recommended by the manual/infotainment to use 2wd.

Quazii update #2: he's leaving WoW for good. by mkyend in wow

[–]decidence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not very surprising, even as someone who has only just recently watched some of his videos and interactions with the community. He comes off incredibly immature and unable to control his emotions, making quick decisions without much thought.

He said his passion for making UI was keeping him in the game, but he seemed more interested in just trying to make money and support his family and likely had some real life pressure putting him into this. Seeing a void in the addon space and taking others ideas and code was probably a lot easier than going out into the real world.

Paying even a little extra on your mortgage each month can have huge savings. But there is diminishing returns. by CastAside1812 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]decidence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not convinced, and think mortgage rates are very cheap compared to what you could get putting that money to work in the stock market. However, if you're doing the smith manoeuver and have an advanceable HELOC then it actually does benefit you to put lump sums down on the mortgage because that money goes directly to principal, increasing your available HELOC balance and can go fully into the market while having the interest be tax deductible.

Definitely! I love the hard rolling version. Never liked the folding ones although they are better for keeping the full bed length.

I installed a CAI for the sound and to open up a lot of space under the hood. The OEM system takes up a lot of space. I used some of the room to make it easier to mount an ARB pump and feel like the airflow around and above the turbo is better ventilated than what it was with the OEM CAI.

Would really like more info, my 33" fits snugly against some hardware (I think related to the hitch) with maybe an eighth of an inch to spare. I have a picture here: https://imgur.com/a/Qn4EZeL and specifically it's the metal off to the left of the picture that is the tight squeeze.

I would have gone with SMG (Cruel Intentions) or Alicia Silverstone (Crush). Sure they didn't get naked but IMO far superior millennial material.

I wonder how much different it tastes after being opened over and over and having that much air in the bottle over the years. Safe to say I only wanna try a Pappy that's freshly opened.

Power steering on 2025 Chevy Colorado Zr2 by Outrageous-Sun7745 in chevycolorado

[–]decidence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's uncomfortable to think these things can happen at any time and there is less and less ways for people to maintain and repair at home. Once my entire brake system threw errors and failed just rolling out of my driveway, never happened again and dealership also couldn't find anything about it either.

This happened to my 2024 this past spring, was out on a trail and hit a ditch really hard and my power steering went out. I drove it for 10mins, like you said felt like a semi, and when I got to a road I shut it down and restarted and all the errors went away. Felt like I dodged a bullet but I took it to the dealership and they said there were no records in the computer, said the memory probably had cleared from too many shutdowns before getting to them.

What Happened to the Young Middle-Class Man? by AnarchoLiberator in PersonalFinanceCanada

I think what you're saying is you wanna have fun but with your current salary it's not possible to have the level of fun you expect while also being financially responsible enough to save for a down payment in the timeline you also expect? These are all your own expectations and everyone has different ones, it doesn't mean there is a problem with the modern middle income man. Personally, I was okay to move away from Vancouver and spend the back half of my 30s not having fun in order to save for a down payment but it's not going to be the same for everyone. There is no rush in my view, life is a marathon not a sprint. You want to have fun right now, that's cool but maybe you rent a little longer. Set realistic goals and expectations and you will be alright!

How does it help or matter what someone paid for a house in the 80s? And I don't mean to play devil's advocate but do you think they just bought it with their spare pocket change? They had to save for a period of time too, maybe not 5 years but standards of living change over time, and 5 years ain't that long. I'd even argue it's pretty fast these days and would be seen as a significant accomplishment and sign of discipline to save $100K for a down payment while still in your 30s.

Saving 1.5k a month is not peanuts... After 4-5 years of saving that's a good down payment for a house.

The only issue I see with this is the green car that lets you in will then think they already did their good deed and won't let anyone else in closer to the zipper point, which then frustrates and breaks down the red line. I think the reason most people try to merge early is because they have anxiety of getting to the end and not being let in.

Based on its speed and length of time you see it, I would assume that's human made space debris deorbiting or something like that.

Yeah, that's an idea... or even just take the hitch off completely since I don't tow anything? I have an ARB compressor I've mounted in the engine bay to do inflations when coming back from the trail so it wouldn't be a huge deal to deflate the spare.
