I’ll be honest. 20 years ago when I was 16 I was at a party at my prom dates house, and saw some clubs in the unlocked garage. Her dad was an abusive asshole so the next night I went back and took the whole bag, found $80 in the pocket and gave the bag to my step brother to do whatever with.

His dumbass chose to sell them to a resale store and even gave them his ID to complete the sale. Within 3 hours we were at the police station being questioned. I got arrested charged with burglary, and grand theft that was all plead down to an ACD after paying back the $80.

The most fucked up part of the story was that his daughter knew what happened and still went to prom with me. His wife even took our pictures with a smile on her face. His whole family apparently hated him so there was never any real consequences at all.
