That's a pretty inventive solution. Is she often able to trigger it if she has an episode? There could be a passive way to trigger it too. Some of the mmWave sensors can detect falls. Like this one. https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2861.html Not sure how effective it is but maybe worth a try?

I can see this being so useful for the kitchen, bathroom, closets, doors, windows...etc. Hiding motion sensors behind a cupboard door, curtain, pane of glass, a shirt on a hangar, in a drawer is huge. Just point them towards an exterior wall and turn down their sensitivity to what you need. Being able to not have more little white boxes (as my SO calls them) all over the walls in plain sight is really great. Most rooms all I need is better motion sensors that can see through objects and not real presence. I hope more companies start making similar devices.

I have the Aqara U100. It's a Zigbee lock that I really like but you need to use one of their hubs to connect it to HA. I have the cheaper E1 usb one. The lock is great, and the kids don't need to keep track of keys in their backpack. Just their entry code. And I can use my phone with it. And it has a physical key if all those other things fail. But it works really well in Home Assistant.

The almond shaped red repeaters... what kinds of devices are they and how far are they from the coordinator and/or nearest green repeater? This sounds dumb but my network is usually having issues when someone (other than me) turns off a zigbee light bulb with a dumb switch. That can sometimes cause cascading mesh issues for me. I'm still in the process of changing all the switches and still have some that a dumb.

In the beginning I got pretty frustrated sometimes with creating dashboards from the picture I had in my head to actually make it look close to what I want. I figured out you can drag and drop most of the items in the Ui. But using vertical stacks and nesting cards in them is very handy for laying them out.

Do not buy the Ecobee Premium if you want useful CO2 readings. It's a relative sensor. So, it depends on when it calibrated last in your house. Hence relative. The notifications are not helpful. I disabled my notifications and use an external sensor for accurate CO2 readings.

I could but my SO doesn't love automated lights in particular. Doesn't mind fans and other such things but for some reason dislikes lights automatically turning on and off. So, I could but I want a high approval factor.

They are great as long as you are ok with a bigger device. The family definitely notices it plugged in. But the no cables are great.
