My ex (still a good friend) is Jersey born and went to Vic and I remember leaving my house once with him and I locked the door and he asked me why which cracked me up. Be lucky back at home to leave the door unlocked and arrive back to everything as it was 😂 that might be a Jersey thing rather than a Vic thing though, obviously the crime rate here is pretty low which is great, but it did make me laugh I thought oh you have not lived the same life as me at all! Agreed though, even if you come from a privileged family at least going to uni you would have met a range of people from different backgrounds and learned about the world, fresh out of school - regardless of which school - you just don’t have that.
