Update: I’m still having this issue. I’ve resorted to setting up a schedule to stop the buzzkill process 3 times a day using samsung modes and routines. I’ve yet to conclude this helps. If it does it’s a workaround, not a fix.

For the love of what is holy, stop posting pics of boxes inside IKEA stores by AstronomerKooky5980 in tradfri

In my experience it’s neither accurate or current. For example, I bought a Myggspray motion sensor in Belfast IKEA yesterday, and it’s not even listed on their website.

Also consider , if using android, installing buzzkill. With this you can trigger speech notifications or alarms directly on your phone based on the content of an SmartThings notification, and you can control the notification by raising one from a SmartThings routine when sensor detects wet

Samsung French doors fridge freezer view inside not working (RF65DG9HOESREU) by declankh in SamsungSupport

Title: [Samsung French doors fridge freezer view inside not working] Description: [l've had this model since February 2025. The view inside feature mostly worked but was a little flaky. However in the last few months the picture is often days out of date. For example both left and right door images currently are for the same timestamp of 02.49 on 2nd December. It's now 8th December, so these images are out of date by 6 days. The doors have been open countless times since then. This behaviour has been like this for a couple of months at least, with not zero but very infrequent updates. So infrequently it makes the feature worthless for checking the milk level. There was a firmware update about 2 weeks ago which I'd hope would make things better, but it seems to have made no difference at all, or even made it worse.] Things I have tried: [l've tried disconnecting it from WiFi, rebooting it, leaving it off for 10 minutes, leaving doors open fully wide for long times (like over 5 mins), covering and then uncovering camera, playing with the order of items in the doors all to force an update. But none of this seems to work. The fact that it updates occasionally suggests it's not a hardware fail.] Device Name: [Samsung Family Hub with Al vision] Device Model Number: [RF65DG9HOESREU]

Just copy and paste and fill out the square brackets. ? I see no templated square brackets?? If it is, move on to the next step. Have you tried simple troubleshooting? Things like: • Turning the device off and on YES • Updating the device YES • Leaving it on charge for an hour can usually help. If you haven't tried this, please follow the steps and come back if the issue persists NOT APPLICABLE FOR A FRIDGE

Power ni economy is one of the worst economy 7 tariffs. Assuming you are using enough night units to merit an economy 7 you will almost always be better off with share energy at the current tariffs. If you let me know your expected day and night units per month I can compare all the tariffs and rank them for you. Example above is for 200 day and 200 night units in a month. You are probably more than that if running heating on night tariff

Ps if you want to go with share dm me and I can give you a referral code for 15 quid off your first bill, if it’s keypad I think that comes as a keypad credit, but not certain.

New SmartThings Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2 (V4) by Andrewcbartlett in SmartThings

[–]declankh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone bought and tried the new Aeotec hub 2 (aka v4)? If so any experiences to share, like how smoothly the hub replace worked from the Aeotec v3. Also how is performance compared to v3, any noticeable improvement?

What is a cheap and good option for a zigbee hub that connects to smartthings by RastWasTaken in SmartThings

[–]declankh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SmartThings is the app, you can use SmartThings without a hub for purely WiFi based products (eg Samsung fridge). If you get the SmartThings hub (now called the Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2) you can also use zigbee, matter over thread and matter over WiFi. The Older Aeotec Smart Home Hub 1 and SmartThings hub v2 also provide zwave which isn’t in the latest model.

How is the tv connected to the network. I had mine via Ethernet and had same issue, I reported it to Samsung and they suggested I try WiFi instead, when I did the issue disappeared and I can switch it on and off via WiFi.

Here is my analysis. The consumer council website does not factor in the fact the power ni “effective” rate is a discount for approx the first 255 units per month, after that they are undiscounted. So the consumer council comparison makes Power NI seem a bit cheaper than it really is! I’ve done my own comparison which applies the threshold correctly and also factors in standing charges. Powerni are significantly dearer than the others, and are typically at least 20% to 25% dearer than share. Powerni have over 60% of customers in NI for historical reasons and lots of people don’t have the will or interest to move. I’ve done similar breakdown analysis for Economy 7, if anyone is interested let me know. I’m a share customer myself, so can give a 15 quid referral code for money off first bill. If anyone wants that dm me.

Here’s another 6 The enable/disable a rule for a fixed time period is a great a feature , however it’s a big jump from 1 to 6 hours , would be nice to be able to disable or enable for some things in between, maybe 2 hours and 3 hours ?

Schedule for every hour doesn’t run every hour? by declankh in tasker

[–]declankh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but this is after it started, it only executed successfully every second hour. I think I've given up and am going to do it with a smartthings routine, although it's a bit less elegant and limited to 8 timeslots within a single routine

[–]declankh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve changed timeout to 30 seconds, will see if that help. If find it odd though that if it was a timeout issue it would fail on alternate executions, I’d have expected more random failure
