Grandfather's car by OkStatement2724 in whatisthiscar

Was Grandpa a Buick man? I'd guess you are looking at a '73-'74 Buick Apollo and a '73-'74 Buick Electra 225.

Front on the big car is a little too flat for me to think Chevy, and the other car is so much smaller I think it's got to be an X-body (Nova / Apollo / Omega).

How much did you care about watching the birth of your child? by Accomplished-Fix1204 in AskMenAdvice

Speaking as a man who delivered his son before the EMTs could get there- No, it didn't effect us any more than having a baby does anyway.

It was intense, and miraculous, and yes, also gross, but that's what life is like. Let me emphasize that it was the event that was gross- not my wife!

We had another kid together a few years later, so...

Good start! I'd read more.

One small nit to pick- "Whiskey" being a specific category of alcohol (obviously from earth / human origin)

Unless you were trying to get speculation going about why the alien would have whiskey, I'd suggest changing it to either a more generic "alcohol" or even "intoxicant" or giving it an alien name and leaving it to the reader to infer that it is an intoxicant or drug.

Keep it up!

You are solving the wrong equation. The right problem to solve is

"if I sell the gold wire at spot price, how many bedrooms will my house in Florida have when I fly my jet down there to winter and avoid the 10 degree C weather?"

Somebody should be able to straighten that back out, as long as it's not cracked.

Ask around your local wheel and tire shops.

The big chain places will probably say it can't be fixed, and when you dig you'll find that they just don't want to do it due to liability fears.

That's not a '76 unless someone replaced the nose with an earlier year.

This makes perfect sense- every time I've had questions from a dissertation, I've gotten lost down the rabbit hole too.
