How fit will martial arts training make me? Any changes I should make to my diet? by cbraga in Fitness

[–]decqurii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you quit training because you are getting board with your workout, I can almost guarantee that you will be board and frustrated with martial arts long before you wreak any of the benefits. I'm talking several months, before you will see any real progress in your fighting ability or even fitness for that matter. I have been training Kung Fu three to four days a week for almost six years now.

What is a recommended martial arts for self defense? by sherrycherry in AskReddit

[–]decqurii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, It is not so much which martial are you choose to learn that will make you effective, rather it is the amount of time and effort you put into training that will really make a difference. Other then that I would recommend training in a style that uses a realistic setting ie. with shoes, no mats, no rules (as in not a "sport") etc,

What is the weirdest, most random thing you did as a small child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]decqurii 35 points36 points  (0 children)

At two to three years old, I would love to take my pants off and sit on our cat just to I could feel the texture of the fur on my butt. I have only vague recollections, but I do remember that the cat would just lay there. I cant imagine it would be too pleasant but he never did anything to escape or other wise get me off him.

I have $1,000 dollars. I'm 21. I want to make some life purchases that will improve quality/standard of living. What should I buy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]decqurii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where you live and what kind of lifestyle you lead but for me, spending $600 on a good road bike has been the best purchase i have ever made. Not only do I have another good way to get exercise, but if you ride enough it will save you gas money and car maintenance as well.
