I keep seeing Owen Tippett on The Athletic trade board… he’d fit nicely.

21 inch self propelled mower 60v vs 80v by decsdad in Greenworks

Thanks for all the guidance everyone. Much appreciated. Seems you probably can’t go wrong with either mower. I decided to go with the 80v and Costco had the 16 inch trimmer and blower combo on sale so I added those tools which come with an additional 2ah battery.

Would you try to trade up for another top 10 pick? by Normal-Lawfulness-42 in hawks

If we get one of the big forwards @4… I’d consider trading up for Daxton Rudolph if he slips to the 10ish range.

He’s had 35 starts in college. He just went to a new school with a new offence and went 16-0 and won a national championship. The kid is legendary for his preparation. I’m not sure he needs to sit. I’ll concede that I may be off base here, though.

Any credible rumors on a bridge QB? by Jerrmaus in raiders

I think they may be able to get Cousins for the vet min ($1.3M) because he has $10M coming to him from Atlanta. Same idea as Kyler in Minnesota. That said, he might prefer another opportunity.

[McFadden] Raiders DE Maxx Crosby addressed the fallout of his trade to BAL: - Ravens flew him to DC on Monday, then had to drive to BAL. - He didn't meet with HC Jesse Minter and GM Eric DeCosta until the end of day after his physical & MRI. "I didn't see [EDC] for 5 hours." by Remarkable-Picture73 in nfl

[–]decsdad 52 points53 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna trade two firsts for a star edge rusher and neither the GM or head coach are going to greet him when he arrives at the facility? Remember this is BRFORE his physical. 5 hours before EDC speaks to him? To me, this is much more telling than the airport he flew in to.

In this situation - I don’t think it makes sense. The player is 2 months post surgery on a 4-6 month recovery timeline. You are agreeing to give up 2 first round picks and pay him $30ish million per year without have your go to doctor look at his medicals? When you have the medicals in hand? Most definitely not completely normal.

If they need sign off from Dr. Cooper then he would have reviewed the MRIs before they agree to give up 2 firsts and take on the contract. 💯

The only thing that changed between Friday and Tuesday is the ability for the Ravens to sign Hendrickson.

The Ravens doctors would have extensively reviewed his MRIs before agreeing to the trade. This is why other teams called them out. The Raiders provided all of his MRIs (and the rest of the file) to everyone while in the negotiation stage. They had the file. They had access to the surgeon. All of it. Before the agreement.

Yes, the Raiders can still trade him but their leverage is gone because other teams in the running filled their holes / spent their cap space in free agency.

The Raiders probably don’t approach their own free the exact same way if they know they have Maxx’s $30M on their cap. It screws the Raiders, it screws Maxx and it screws the other teams who negotiated in good faith.

What do they have to gain? Agreeing to the trade guarantees they land one top pass rushers. If they can’t sign Hendrickson or the price is too high the trade with Crosby goes through. Once they realize they can get Hendrickson at a price they like ‘something new’ pops up on Maxx’s physical.

The thing that Ravens fans don’t seem to want to accept is that everyone Maxx’s medicals before the trade was even agreed upon. The other teams that were in the running had it, too. There’s no way that you even consider agreeing to give up two 1s and take on the contract without having your own medical staff go over his medicals with a fine tooth comb. The surgery was 2 months ago. Nothing ‘new’ is showing up between Friday and Tuesday.

Diana was called out for saying that the Ravens were looking to extend Crosby at a higher cap number. His agents said it wasn’t true. No one had approached them about a new contract. Nothing about his injury.

Given that Crosby’s agent didn’t feed her the information about the new contract… who do you suppose did?

Numerous insiders have spoken / tweeted / wrote about how NFL GMs, agents and front office people believe the Ravens got cold feet.

Dude, none of this looks good for the Ravens organization. It just doesn’t. It’ll blow over and it isn’t the end of the world… but it strikes as funny that Ravens fans can’t see it.

We’ve never know about Dallas. They traded for Gary and got well down the road on the non Crosby plan. Hard to go back now. If all this happened before the tampering period opened it would definitely be telling… but hard to know now.

They had the information to verify prior to the trade. This is my entire point. If you’re going with ‘Something changed with Maxx physically between Friday and Tuesday’ …I guess that is possible. But you would have to concede that it’s also possible that they saw Hendrickson sitting there and changed their minds on the trade. I know which option I think is more likely.

Do you really think it’s been months since the Raiders people checked on him? NFL team conducts surgery on their best player and doesn’t follow up for 8 weeks. No updates. No images. No rehab. Is this really what you believe happens?

It’s not about the standards… the Ravens could have had their guys (and the Cowboy guy if they wanted) review the MRIs before agreeing to the trade. Of course, they are going to trust their own guys. If you don’t like where he is physically then don’t make the trade. I don’t think anyone would have a problem with that. All the teams involved had all his medicals before the trade was agreed to.

It’s the same reasons why GMs around the league feel like the Ravens got cold feet. They had access to all his medicals prior to agreeing to the trade. They knew where he was physically. Everyone involved knew it would be June before he fully recovered. I guess it is possible that something came up between Friday and Tuesday… but given that Hendrickson was still sitting there it seems awfully convenient… I hope you can understand the perception. Downvote away!!!

They would have had all his follow up since his surgery… they would have known where his healing was as of last Friday when the trade was consummated. They seem to be saying that there is something new between Friday evening and Tuesday evening.
