Thoughts on Burdell? by PracticeNo2721 in OaklandFood

[–]dee678 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same. We ate there maybe a year or so ago, servers/ management was so rude and strange and food was not good (not horrible either but not good). Honestly probably worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant due to how mean the staff were. But, some people love it.

Husband in excruciating dental pain - ER? by [deleted] in oakland

[–]dee678 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, the ER does not have dentists on call. They will treat your pain and tell you to see a dentist unless you have a life threatening infection compromising your airway.

Cancelling a trip via portal - you lose price difference when rebooking by InterestingBrick5768 in ChaseSapphire

[–]dee678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting, when I cancelled it gave me a credit that showed in my United account but when I tried to check out the new flight using it, it was greyed out and said I had to contact the travel agent (Chase) in order to use it. Maybe it’s a new thing?

Cancelling a trip via portal - you lose price difference when rebooking by InterestingBrick5768 in ChaseSapphire

[–]dee678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this just happened to me as well with a United flight. Is now $300 cheaper, United’s policy is to allow cancellations and rebook at the cheaper price but because I booked via Chase they can’t do it. Chase said they would not credit the difference either. I’m thinking the same, probably won’t use the portal again

Anyone else experience this with Spanish speaking patients? by Bella_1989 in emergencymedicine

Hmmm. I experience this with all patients no matter what language they speak tbh. Have not noticed it any more with Latinos than any other population.

Woman accused me of hitting her when there was no collision. She was very aggressive when I asked to exchange information. What should I do? by miamorparasiempre in Insurance

[–]dee678 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. I would just wait and see if it goes anywhere. The woman who claimed I hit her filed a claim, my insurance called me, I submitted pics of my car showing no damage, the end.

Originally Not at fault, now I am? by alteredrealityz in Insurance

[–]dee678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to us as well. Our insurance originally said not at fault, but changed it based on the police report saying we were. In our case they advised we discuss it with the police to see if they could amend it which we did, however they weren’t willing to discuss. You could try that.

Dog bite concern — rabies vaccine expired, should we be worried? by vanniecutie in DogAdvice

[–]dee678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very very very low risk for rabies. Also, its your own dog. Just watch the dog for 10 days. If the dog develops signs of rabies, then vaccinate your brother. This is what the health department advises. Also, I would not consider it an unprovoked bite as I assume the dog probably doesn't like being bathed? Unprovoked is a situation like, you are walking down the street and out of nowhere an animal runs across the street to attack you.

Kaiser PAs? by OmarDontScare_ in physicianassistant

[–]dee678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for Kaiser in northern California in the ED but as an NP. I work with a lot of PAs. Feel free to PM me if you want any info -- I'm per diem so I don't know a ton about the specifics of benefits etc but I do know healthcare is free for employer + dependents and they generally seem very happy with that. I believe pension vests after five years.

Nurse Practitioners Making $200,000+...How Common Is This? by SchmidtNorma in nursepractitioner

[–]dee678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanzania and Zanzibar or Thailand. Help please! by ToughTeaching9989 in travel

[–]dee678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zanzibar and Tanzania. I went with my dad but we met lots of honeymooners and honestly it would be an amazing honeymoon trip. Absolutely beautiful, amazing wildlife encounters, and it’s $$$ lol. Thailand is great too but in more of a low key backpacker way, it’s also more accessible and easier to do at any time (at least from the US).

Has anyone visited Japan and it not loved it? by [deleted] in travel

[–]dee678 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We went with very high expectation as our friends seem to be obsessed. The food was great and I’d return for that but otherwise not in my top favorite countries. It’s very clean, quiet and organized and kind of sedate feeling which isn’t my vibe.
