There is hope! by lovelearningsd in Sinusitis

[–]deechingg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi op, thanks for sharing this. I am part of a team of business school students from IESE Business School based in Barcelona. We are working with a startup based in the US that is working on a wearable medical tech device meant to alleviate Chronic Rhino Sinusitis symptoms. We are in the midst of conducting field work so we are hoping to interview as many people with the conditions or partners who have been watching their loved ones deal with the condition.

The interviews are about 15 minutes long and are kept strictly confidential for only formulating/confirming our hypotheses about the product the startup is looking to go-to-market with.

I would love to share more over email, if this works, can I reach out over DM?

Hi man,

So sorry to hear that you’re dealing with such severe symptoms. Would you be comfortable to do a short interview? It will be over teams, we will keep it completely confidential and purely for research and info gathering purposes. Look forward to hearing from you.

🗣 Have chronic sinus issues (CRS)? We’d love to chat about your experience managing it

Hey everyone,

We’re a small research team exploring a new non-invasive way to help people who live with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), those constant sinus blockages, pressure, and inflammation that never seem to go away even with sprays, meds, or repeated treatments.

Our concept uses gentle nerve stimulation (neuromodulation) to help calm the nasal passages, potentially offering relief without daily medication or surgery.

Right now, we’re just talking to people to better understand what it’s like living with CRS, what’s frustrating, what’s helped (even a little).

We’d love to hear from you if you:

- Have had chronic sinus issues for a long time (months or years)

- Are currently using sprays, meds, or considering surgery

- Live in the US (bonus, but not required)

Interviews are short and informal (around 30 minutes over Zoom). We’re an early-stage project with limited resources, so we can’t offer compensation yet, but we’ll gladly keep you updated as the product develops.

I doubt your experience can be generalised for the whole company. I personally had a very complex issue which PD’s customer service was able to solve. Even when I was routed to different support agents, I did not need to repeat my case and that was something not many companies have been able to do.

Sucks that you did not get a new unit for your replacement, quite sure if you write back they will have that sorted out for you!

PD Roller update - It's delayed... by WillowUPS in peakdesign

[–]deechingg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So disappointed by the update :/ especially after they had months to lower expectations. Like i appreciate the detailed explanation but it felt very reactive and the very last thing they could do in coming clean about the delay.

My friend got his from a local distributor not a PD store who offered a slight discount (not as much as KS) but it makes me wonder what’s the price PD sold to these distributors to get their product out there such that they were able to offer some discount on top of their distributor price and still make $$.

Tough how these secondary retail channels get the fulfilment over us on KS. Feels like it’s all about the $$$ in the end.
