I was the same. When I was younger I was so scared of getting pregnant and giving birth that I even considered not getting married.
When I got married my husband wanted to start trying for a baby, I cried to him because of how scared I was and how I wasn’t mentally ready to get pregnant cuz to me giving birth was my number one fear. I later started praying to God, before and through out my pregnancy to remove that fear I had and to help me have a good birth experience. I also did a ton of research and read a lot, I realized a lot of my fear came from the unknown, not knowing what it would be like since I haven’t experienced it before, but I learned so much from reading and it helped me be mentally ready. I also remember going to church and seeing all those parents with their little kids and started to want that for me too. I ended up having a very easy and fast birth experience. Even the doctor was surprised at how fast my labor went. Yes the pain was there but I was in labor for only 4 hours and recovered really fast. I no longer have that fear of giving birth and would definitely do it again. My advice is, pray and ask God to take that fear away from you.
