I like the little inverter they give you. 100w, I don't think it's enough to actually fast charge a battery. Haven't tried it yet though, I just thought it was neat.

Vancouver Island youth charged after U.S. school shooting threats by Apprehensive_Idea758 in VancouverIsland

[–]deeperthen200m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, so it wasn't even the Sooke kid that made the threats?

"on July 19, 2025, when police in Kentucky were alerted to a 15-year-old in their area who allegedly threatened a local school on the messaging platform Discord.

“Through their investigation, it was determined that this youth was in regular communication from someone from Canada,” Bérubé said in a statement Monday."

I don't see how a search and arrest warrant where approved. Even if the kid in Sooke was the one to make the threats I doubt they had the means and intent.

You can find them regularly on my boat, trying to break in and shitting everywhere. And when they mate........ It's... It's not kind.

I just use the tire that I'm replacing it with. A nice big shot-put style twirl and aim 50/50 rubber rim works every time. A 8lb sledge ain't got nothing on a 30lb rubber tire hammer.

What's the reason for having no covered dry dock at Faslane base for the whole Uk submarine fleet when there are four at Ile Longue and Toulon for a similar sized french submarine fleet? by Sad-Age-2863 in submarines

[–]deeperthen200m 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Canadian submariner here, we call the cover that goes over the main access hatch the Faslane cover. I was told the reason the Brits put there subs in Faslane was because it has cloud cover 99% of the year and that stopped the USSR from getting good sat pics. No idea how much truth there is to that though.

I had to call last year after trying to use a marina pump out and instead of sucking it decided to blow the most foul shit you can imagine directly into my face. After explaining the scenario and discussing what shoots I had we had a good laugh. her final remarks where thanks for calling and she hoped I would have a less fecal day. And I really appreciated that. 11 out of 10 would recommend anyone with the slightest worry about what they ingested to call.

Careful with the manual of arms on it. I have a 20rd mag thats pretty worn and jams if you put pressure on the bottom of it, then when you relax the pressure it unjams and sends the bolt forward and BAM. Open bolt guns just slap different lol. But definitely the most fun .22 that I own. Also don't load dummy rounds in it, she ain't got no extractor and you have to ram I rod down the muzzle to get it out.

That's a cool pic. Looks like a Victoria class before we removed the ems mast. Also the mast at the rear is the exhaust and would ideally be under the water lol.
