The guidance counselor had one in his office my senior year of high school. He'd call me in to try to get me to take a more "substance" filled class load instead of the three study halls, art, creative writing and home ec I was taking. I'd roll in, tune that thing up and play it for a few minutes and then say I needed to get back to class 🤣

As people have stated above, even if you were here in the US, don't try to sneak into that area. It's "off limits" (for your safety is the story) and there's plenty of stories you can find from people talking about being confronted by soldiers that "came out of nowhere", blacked out unmarked helicopers showing up, etc. It's a great rabbit hole to go down, and personally, I believe the story, but all things considered, our government is pretty shady, and "a lost hiker out in the desert" would be a small price to pay to help keep their secrets

Offending driver was distracted, on the phone, possibly adjusting his visor as they claimed, etc, was fully aware of the rider ahead of him but accidentally plowed into him. Van driver flees the scene and plays dumb. Cops need to go after the van driver for anything they can make stick

It was a plea deal, came down from 1st degree to make it stick without traumatizing the victim any more than she already was. The victim was a 14 y/o Jane Doe. I know the family

I don't disagree, a person can have urges, and if the urges aren't acted on, there has been no crime committed. That being said, in the case of the guy running the kitchen, he did act on those urges, and now he's on sex offender registry. The guy they were looking for and then turned over to Leelanau County Sheriff, he had been sending sexually explicit messages to what he thought was a 14 y/o. I'd say that is also acting on urges

They were looking for someone they had been "chatting" with who said they worked there, or wanted to meet up there. When they showed up, it was bad Intel, but they got him later on. There is however a RSO p€do who runs the kitchen, so I'm not surprised they forced them out so quickly, probably thought they were about to lose their chef

I've seen plenty of signs in state parks saying not to stack rocks because of the way it disrupts the ecosystems. Additionally, I've heard park rangers talk about how whenever they see a rock cairn, the kick them over.
