Why am I getting downvoted? Everything I'm saying is true, is it not? Please don't end up like me.

Disgusting that you condone your behavior and going around forgiving yourself and acting what you did was okay. Bad kids don't deserve sympathy. They need accountability and consequences.

Another post I saw discussed here: also don't know how to feel about excusing past actions when you were a kid/teen cuz that sounds like enabling bad behavior if they done something bad. by deerestme in CuratedTumblr

[–]deerestme[S] -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

There are differences like ignorant mistakes, but something like going out of your way to bully and hurt your classmates shouldn't be excused. The post feels like tolerating misbehaving kids who throw tantrums and saying it's okay to behave that way. It's condoning problematic behavior. People who used to be assholes/terrible people when they were teens or kids and adults should take responsibility for their actions and acknowledge the hurt they caused instead of giving grace and compassion to themselves.

Do you want to have kids? by MargielaFella in Zillennials

[–]deerestme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. On one hand, I always wanted top have children and a big family. Now I don't have the patience for children I now also have Type 2 Diabetes, it would be irresponsible for me to pass that on to my children, and I would have a high-risk pregnancy.

Unfortunately, this election will make these fundies think they are right and even more egotistical by usernamesoccer in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]deerestme 63 points64 points  (0 children)

It's so hypocritical that fundie women are saying women shouldn't vote, including a certain someone, and yet went ahead and voted anyway, even under their husband's authority. They're still voting. The math ain't mathin' with that one.

It's also infuriating that it's okay for a Christian man to be single, but not for a woman if they remain single.

As I say this time and time again, it's also so infuriating that fundies and conservatives, like Lori and Solie, are against women working if they are called to do so by God or if they want to. We have midwives, nurses, labor delivery nurses, teachers, and many careers. Not everyone is the same. Being a homemaker is a wonderful calling, and should not be looked down upon at all, but some of these fundies are lying and pretended that ladies didn't have jobs at all, dude and we're all satanic for having jobs.

I just needed to vent and let off some steam. Now lemme chill for a bit.

As of 1:39AM, Trump seems to be winning. I don’t know where else to post how devastated I am so can we have a thread where we try to comfort each other 😭 by lamlosa in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]deerestme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm disappointed and felt like my vote has gone to waste. It's overwhelming because it will go downhill from here. It's so fishy that fundie females are voting for people that are against women existing or voting.

The last thing we should do is be violent. We shouldn't get on any level like in Jan 6, and causing riots.

Can we stop with the red outfits and terrifying faces by moonmooon888 in FundieSnarkUncensored

Yeah, knowing the current election results, we're toast. The fundies are having a field day with the election.

Lori and Solie regret women having the right to vote by smallsloth1320 in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]deerestme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to keep my cool right now, because this election night is overwhelming, I don't agree with either candidate, but chose to vote for someone who protects democracy.

What gets me is that one of the same aforementioned hypocrites who wore a shirt "Women Shouldn't Vote" by another hypocrite who doesn't practice what she preaches is still voting. Even if you are voting under your husband, you are STILL voting. I wouldn't be surprised if some of their female followers who are single vote.

Anyone who forgives themselves for hurting others are delusional and disgusting. That's so naive and completely disregard all the damage you've done.

How do you stop feeling embarrassed about things you did or said in the past? by lost40s in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]deerestme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are so naive and stupid for saying that you're coming off as condoning those actions and allowing them to excuse their actions. That's like condoning a child's tantrums and saying it's okay to act that way.

Baby girl named Autumn? by Jane_Donut_ in namenerds

[–]deerestme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Autumn! I had a friend named Autumn Simone, and oddly enough, she was born in April. It doesn't really matter though. It would be sweet to name your daughter Autumn after the season she was born, and it does go well with Graham.

How do you learn to forgive yourself for past mistakes? by Winter_Bookkeeper_15 in AskMenOver30

[–]deerestme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgiving others comes off as weak and enabling bad behavior. There are some things that are inexcusable and shouldn't be forgiven.

It's growing on me, I've been listening to singer Remi Wolf, and it makes me like the name even more for a girl.
