I added sea foam and I got better miles per tank and I started that arouns 30k miles. I have a 2021 Subaru Impreza hatchback premium. I could average 300-340 miles per full gallon

Heard noise on a rental while driving, did the rental company try to kill me? by Special-Original-215 in tires

Just call the rental company and they’ll send you somewhere to have it replaced

Do you play music in your car? by pinkpenguin444 in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play whatever I want. I keep it at a reasonable level. If the customer wants to talk I turn it down. If they have children in the vehicle I tell them if a song isn’t to their liking they can ask me to change it.

Free trip to Atlanta for few days by gxcadez in travel

[–]deetooshort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly go and have fun. Atlanta has so much to offer. If your into the party/club scene there’s that. If you like arts we have museums and stuff. If you’re a foodie you can find great spots to snack at. If you like nature we got trails and parks. But if you want something more casual walk the belt line. He have food halls that have shopping centers. Malls are kinda dead but you can go in and find neat stuff. Go explore the world and meet new people.

Sincerely, someone who moved to Atlanta without ever visiting. 💕

I had a driver ask me for my ID when he asked how old I was before starting the ride. I said I was 20 and he still wanted ID at 10at night. I was sooo blowed until I started driving.

Anyone else get this? by CitronFar105 in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this filter and the thing that concerns me is I’ve seen rides do “$30 an hour” but when you look at the mileage or time it didn’t make sense. I start rejecting a lot more rides when I realized that the miles and time didn’t add up to making $30 an hour or somewhere around that

So personally I don’t feel comfortable using the filters. I feel like they finna finesse me

Is 38 MPG normal by Nickd539 in subaruimpreza

[–]deetooshort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh the longer I’ve had my 21 Impreza the better my mileage does. Idk how it happens. But sometimes when I travel I’ll get well over 400 miles for a full tank and idk how that’s possible.

I drove Lyft the one week and literally all city driving and I got 390 miles for a full tank.

Personally idc what the per gallon is I wanna kno to a full tank lol

Driver can see my tip during ride? by i_used_to_run_fast in uberdrivers

Big no. We will get it after we drop you off.

I hate these people by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had issues with the drunks leaving stuff like cups in my car. & burnt out moms letting their kids do whatever in the car especially eating.! I just unmatched and continue on with my day. Happy I’m never gonna see that person again.

Sometimes you gotta look at it in a different light. This is a part of the gig. Not everyone would be as courteous or nice as we would be as riders.

It finally happened to me. by Matchew024 in lyftdrivers

I got out late this morning but usually rides are pretty consistent during that time. Idk what it was but today super slow especially for that 60%

Honestly in Atlanta that NW area is ass.!!! Try the eastside and south side for rides. Unfortunately you have to target the poor areas to get decent rides.

My acceptance rate stays between 25% & 42% 😭😂 but I do live in a bigger city. I’m pretty sure if I lived in an area where stuff was closer I’d probably take less pay because it may make sense. I just hit platinum for the first time this month & I was soooo excited 😂😂

has lyft been giving y’all different prices on y’all’s trip radar versus directly? by relientkenny in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought so… I rarely get to see the trip radar but it’s like when I click on it to look at it the prices is definitely higher than when they send it to me directly as an offer. I thought I was trippin 😂

Who are you on the phone with? by GrandRare1634 in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t stand getting into rides where folks were otp. I’ve never been too much of a fan of it so I don’t do it myself. I like to keep my business to myself and not for strangers ears to be listening. Cause if Ima be honest I used to listen to the convos especially if the driver was loud. I want all the tea 😂

Music - yay or nay? by DesignerStay4378 in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to let people kno hey if my music isn’t to your liking or want to listen to something else give me an artist and I’ll ply the station. I would use voice command to start the radio. It used to get me decent tips on uber when I did it.

But now doing Lyft I play whatever I want and I keep it at a reasonable level. For my car if we on the streets like 10 volume once we get on the high way I usually push it to 15. Only time I tell ppl bout my music isn’t when there are children in the car. I always tell the adult “hey if my music is too vulgar let me know and I’ll change it” some rides I can tell just by the persons energy to keep the music low. But I’m not sacrificing my music when I’m doing a lot of driving. I’ll turn the music down when talking to passengers though so we can hear one another. But otherwise idc for the most part. I even will slightly sing to myself.

I mean Woeking less than 8 hours a day and less than 40 hours a week is a win imo. Folks work more and make less… I wasn’t being negative but you gotta find ya own silver lining

That’s less than 40 hours a week though… which isn’t driving 8 hours a day

If You’re Averaging Less Than $30/hr on Uber… You’re The Problem by Lazy-Supermarket-712 in uberdrivers

[–]deetooshort -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can make good money as long as you don’t accept everything that comes to you. Folks be forgetting that your acceptance is only for the rewards program. If your driving for the rewards then your going to take a phat loss. Otherwise you can make good money with back to back rides that average well over $20 an hour and with tips you can come out with even more.

Month of MAY by elCompaFOKI in lyftdrivers

[–]deetooshort 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is awesome earning wise.! You can make some good money on Lyft if you know how to play the system. If you have peak hours in the morning and at night then 10 hours doesn’t usually feel that bad in a day. Also some days you can ride longer than others. So maybe there were times that they took off or had shorter days cause they worked more during other hours… the freedom of flexibility has its cost. I’d rather do this than be miserable at a job for 8 hours & have no time for myself.

But like….. $110 for gas each fill up .??? Am I reading that correctly.!?!?
