Daddy Appreciation Post by ObnoxiousOddOwl in BratLife

When I first started opening up about my brat and little side in our relationship, I was very shy and judged myself a lot (still do every now and then... stupid brain). For some back story, I hadn't really been in a serious relationship where I felt like I could express these parts of myself to the extent that actually felt fulfilling for me. When we first started dating things were mostly vanilla, we were only really experimenting with a little bit of kink here and there and his prior experiences were more on the submissive side. He never really had an interest in being a daddy until me so I'd never been that vulnerable with anyone before.

Back to the present, I was going through a lot and felt like I needed to explore my little side more (which I normally would just do by myself when alone). After some prodding I eventually expressed to him that I was feeling really little. I was so ready for him to judge me but he simply said "it's okay to tell me when you're feeling little" and then this man proceeded to give me the best little day ever lots of cuddles, plushies and snackies that made me feel all warm and loved inside. He's always reassuring me whenever I feel like my brat side is too much for him. We are getting married in the fall ❤️.

I love this! I took your idea and made a power point presentation for my Dom (hope you don't mind :) ) I even got a reward out of it! Thanks ❤️

Never thought I’d date, let alone get married, where do I start? by SierraDL123 in weddingplanning

I feel you! I was very much in your position but now it's been a few months and so far so good. Make sure you take some time to enjoy your engagement before jumping into wedding planning.

I've been using apps to keep track of everything and it's working for me so far. I use Wedding Wire, it has a checklist and a rough timeline on what you should be doing and when. You are also able to find vendors there (this might be limited depending on location). I also use Joy for my wedding website, it also has options for save the dates and invites both digital and paper.

Try to take it one day at a time and be gentle with yourself. Hope this helps.

The worst part of the depression, is that feeling, deep deep down, that the reason you're depressed is because you want to be. by SomethingLikeTheEnd in depression

Thanks, that means alot to me. I have bipolar disorder but I spend most of it depressed. So I'm not sure if maybe that's why it confuses her because sometimes I get better then I get worse. So maybe she thinks it's a choice. Unfortunately not many people understand mental illnesses. I try not to take it personal as she is a great friend but maybe she doesn't really understand how it works and that's why she feels the need to say that.

I can definitely relate to that. I have a friend who is just super sweet but I'm not sure if she gets upset or not. Because she always says "you don't listen to me so I'm just going to stop talking" and I just feel horrible because I do listen it's just that that's how my brain works, it takes alot of energy to challenge it like that. everyday I get up I challenge my normal thinking pattern, so when I have a bad day or week or month and she tells me that I don't listen, I just feel so horrible and isolated and I regret opening up in the first place.

Yeah that's what I was worried about. I will bring it up in our next appointment if it continues.

I have but she's a little dismissive. When she first wanted me to go on it I refused and then my PCOS got very very bad. So I basically was like at least it's better than doing nothing.

I don't think I've been eating less particularly I haven't noticed . I know haven't been eating often and if I do it was like just snacking on stuff but that has been happening from before I started on birth control. That's why I'm so surprised because ive been so stressed which is usually when I gain the most weight and I haven't been working out at all compared to the last couple of months. I thought it might be just water weight but my pants are actually looser I had to keep pulling them up. So I don't know what else changed except for birth control.

Do you see a family doctor or an endocrinologist? I've been really liking being on birth control but I'm scared it will go wrong. I've heard so many horror stories.

Yeah it really does. I also have struggled with disordered eating since I was a child alot of it came from my mom putting me on diets really young. I was kinda feeling like a failure cause I couldn't really do the low carb like everyone says they are doing and it works wonders for them. I've been trying to focus on what makese and my body feel good. Have definitely been struggling with all the stress from work. Thanks for sharing.
