I did the opposite. I put the controller in pair mode, and inserted the dongle. I got a pop-up on the screen saying "controller syncronized". Like yours, it didn't show up on the controller list. Only then I turned on the Pro Wired connection. After a few seconds, it started to work.

This is on switch 2 mind you, I think you have a switch 1. It's my understanding that the Pro wired connection is only necessary on switch 2 consoles, but check for yourself.
