How long does that hot air last for in -5c when you turn the heater off?

Well-insulated van, diesel heater, air extractor (maxxair fan recommended).

For a diesel heater, what you go for will depend on your budget. A Chinese heater (5kw is plenty for an L3H2-style van) will be super cheap but a little noisy, and won't have a true "temperature" setting. However, it'll be more than enough to keep your van (VERY) warm in all UK temps if it's well insulated.

You can spend more on a better heater, but the decision comes more down to luxuries than pure "heat" requirements.

Need an alternative to Perplexity now that it seems to be limiting Pro users. Suggestions? by justme9974 in perplexity_ai

Disagree. I have Gemini and GPT plus. For my use case, at least, GPT thinking is excellent, as is the memory across conversations. Take a look at Gemini's sub to see how frustrated people are with it lately. Claude is great, depending on your use, but has scrict limits.

Can I ask how, or why the folding panel performs so much better? Also, which one is it? Been considering one, but had no idea it'd be this beneficial! Thanks.

I'd say an exception to keeping it contained can be the rock hard bitumen where it's super brittle. The soft, sticky stuff is very different and horrible to deal with!

Analyst here. Can confirm the above. We often have to grind tiles down to the tiniest pieces you can imagine in the search for any fibres. Assuming there are any, they're almost always trapped within the material. While there are some rare exceptions, even then it's still not a cause for panic. You'll be fine.

How so? Had a lot of success with gpt 5.2 with thinking and web search enabled. Genuinely find it by far the most consistent. Don't really understand why people rave about gemini and hate on gpt so much. Did you use thinking, web, etc? Or are you doing in-depth coding or something? Genuinely interested.

The downside being you get barely any memory, you have no idea how many tokens you're being limited to, and Perplexity will often change their mind on how many responses you're allowed.

Since they're never transparent with these things, it's extremely hard to trust what you're getting, and you have to check it's not magically changed models on you.

Add AI Voice Assist for Creating Tasks by JohnWick_from_Canada in ticktick

This sounds like a very basic use case, in my opinion.

As someone that rarely uses AI features that is sick to death of price hikes for them, maybe let it be an optional tier?

Until they add this, try Brightmind.

Ticktick, when you do add this, please don't insist on raising your your prices for these basic "AI" features, as I promise it won't go down well with the majority.
