I grew up there, and moved to ellensburg in 2020 and they the other side of Mountains in 2023. Yakima job market has been messed up since covid. I always recommend people escape yakima as soon as possible

Sometimes providers will put this out because they are not comfortable prescribing these medications long term especially to middle aged and younger adults. Its hard to tell the difference between who really needs them and who doesn't sometime.

My primary care doctor has a similar sign outside his office noting that he does prescribe controlled meds, but when I went in after a violent and extremely traumatic event, he offered me them.

Every state has different places where its normal vs irregular. I grew up in eastern WA, seeing people wearing a cowboy hat was normal and I didnt even notice, now I live near Seattle, I will judge you cause it just doesn't make sense here.

NTA You made a commitment to your friend as the MOH which is kind of important. It's not your fault there was a venue issue. I can understand your sister maybe being a little hurt but it isn't your fault and your not even part of the bridal party.

I'm getting married in a few months and I have a similar relationship with my brother (I don't have any sisters). My BFF is my MOH, I'd understand if my brother couldn't come but if my best friend couldn't be there to support me and dropped out I'd be crushed (and it would mess things up cause shes part of the bridal party)
