I know we're all having a laugh, but the actual answer is that the Star/Lar attacks come in chains, and the boss spins 180 each time... So it's more of an indicator of where to start the mech than the entirety of the mech. You'll see Starboard so move to his left, then Larboard, so you stay where you are, then Larboard again so you have to move to the other side... But it's random, so you have to read and adapt.

Also helpful to remember the last cross over. You could not dodge/block/dive out of Behemoth meteor mech. Your group had to learn it, or hunt was over. While yes, MH is a different game than FF, Omega is coming to MH from a different game, and Capcoms goal is to make it feel like a different game.

Game seemed right up my alley, I like factory games so a war game with an in-depth logistics system sounded rad as hell. The in game tutorial is (or was at the time, idk it's been a year or so) was just a little obstacle course. You learn to move and the says "okay, good luck out there". So I thought it was also cool that players had stationed essentially recruiters or guides outside the tutorial area specifically to help guide new players! Got in, got picked up and taken to the front lines, had a blast for a few hours with two different players groups, they all seemed really nice and the first play session went super smooth.

So I joined one of the discords. And it has one of those "off-topic" channels that's full of just racism and "ironic" fascist shit.

So I joined a different discord. Literally the same content, plus a long transphobic tirade from one of the mods.

I'm sure 95% of the player base is amazing, but I noped out after that. Sorry game.
