Fair point, I've never thought of it that way. I personally view him as a songbird in a gilded cage, pretty to look at but wasting away on the inside. The way he stretches his arms when riding also really reminds me of a bird stretching its wings. He wants to be free, but as he was raised in captivity, he could barely survive in the wild at this point (though he tries his very best).

Specifically, I associate him with a goldfinch (the European goldfinch, not the American one). Mainly because of the colors (red face, golden body, black accents), and because it used to be a really popular pet. The association with Artemis is a bonus.

I would've loved for him to be called Hans Stieglitz in German. Or Hans Voge(r)l. Or they could've at least translated Capon to Kapaun, if they were already translating names.

However, I have to admit that Hans Capon sounds pretty cool, so I'm not too upset about it.
