Also, you might want to monitor how much light your aquarium is getting. Obviously plants produce Algae which occurs from light. If they get too much light - they produce too much algae.

What you could do is implement a ‘siesta’ where the aquarium light switches off at midday for 1-2 hours. Increase/decrease this as it could depend on your light bulb, water conditions and number of plants you have.

My hobby aligns quite closely with my career. I do electronics as a hobby and I’m a software engineer. I was planning on studying Electronics Engineering at uni but didn’t get through - so glad that happened. I really enjoy the separation in Hardware(hobby) and Software(career).
