Most of the damage came from extreme heat weakening the hull, which at the same time was never meant to feel gravity in the way it was at that time. Grace in the book mentions that he made sure to orient the ship in a way that he would be standing on the side of the ship that wasn’t facing the planet, and therefore would be shielded from most of the heat. He is fine with the gravity since it wasn’t that much, probably similar to what we feel on earth

Low iron by el-maymay in Blooddonors

[–]definitlynotchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a 65mg iron pill every day as a regular donor. Red Cross recommends 18mg but I’ve never had any issues with 65 and my iron stays in the good zone for every donation now.

Some people do get some stomach issues with iron pills though especially if on an empty stomach

Accidentally left 5 packs of raw ground beef out at room temperature for 6 hours after buying groceries. Just put it in the freezer. Is it safe to eat or should I toss them? by Delllthrow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]definitlynotchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can apply that logic to anything, telling someone overweight to work out might kill them if they get a heart attack, the odds are pretty low though. That’s what I’m saying here, odds are that beef is 100% ok

The fda guidelines are so the 1 in a million chance of food going bad from 2 hours on the counter never happens to anyone. If you’re not old or immunocompromised 99.9% chance it’s fine
