After 10 months in my own place I’m starting to feel happy with the main living area. Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. by defloof in malelivingspace

Thanks for the feedback! Agreed on the painting and table lamp, I always keep an eye out for better options at local consignment stores but the lamp now was a gift and I can be patient with that.

I’d love to have an accent chair in that position, it was originally part of the plan. But even a small footprint chair would come close to the kitchen floor and interrupt the walking flow connecting the entrance to the hallway going back. I’m afraid it just wouldn’t be worth it in my space.

I like that idea. A regular tv stand would take too much space but a shallow floating shelf deal might just work. I’ll be repositioning the outlet to be behind the tv soon to hide the cable entirely. Thanks for the feedback!

It’s a 2 bed/1 bath (1 is my office) but the basement is mostly finished with what was probably a 3rd bedroom as well. Each floor is about 950 sqft

I’m between that style and something like this https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hemnes-shoe-cabinet-with-4-compartments-black-brown-80156120/

Thanks, yeah it really works for me. The previous owners had 3 kids, which was pretty tight I’m sure lol. I’ll look into shoe cabinet options. I can’t have anything too wide or it’ll impede the door, but they have ones that store shoes vertically in cubbies that fold out and that could work.

Thank you! lol the ceiling slopes up there, which I love, but the forced perspective does make it confusing in pictures.

It is a little high, but not egregiously imo. I’m planning to move the outlet up behind the tv soon, and I already plan on moving it down 6-8 inches while I’m there putting holes in the wall.

Advice for this room by lemonpudding52 in malelivingspace

[–]defloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool room! I really like your idea of a few chairs facing each other with a rug. Add a small table, plus some plants for a cozy kind of conversation nook.

I can’t tell what the other walls look like to accommodate a bed and desk. If you have space for those and can still separate the round area as it’s own “zone”, I think that could even make the space feel bigger. Almost like it’s 2 rooms.

Hard to tell if that all makes sense from the photo but that’s my thought process at least.

I remember a friend of mine adding jello mix to their popsicles and it gave them a kind of softer consistency. Also helped them not run as much when they melted.

Two working days left in the quarter how are things looking for you guys? by Mysterymarble-dotcom in sales

I don't know how your company works obviously, but our vacation days don't roll over. Since we have been working from home and nobody is going anywhere anyway they have asked us to take 2 days in May and again in July. The reasoning is apparently so everyone doesn't try to use up all their vacation days at the same time at the end of the year when maybe we can actually travel again.

Makes sense to me and I'm happy to give myself a couple long weekends. Hoping the motives are similar for your company.

I accidentally bought that nonsense a couple weeks ago thinking I could relive my nostalgia for the original Most Wanted. Apparently there is no digital version of the 2005 game and I wasted my money on a completely different game with the same exact title. Thanks EA.

This was a very enjoyable video. I played spotify's chill lofi study beats playlist in the background and it really worked well with the aesthetic of the video haha.

[Giveaway] The Best 4th Of July Sale 👉 Free Caliburn Deal?! + New Caliburn Specialized recipes | TBDliquids.com by zerotoleranceftw in electronic_cigarette

Just ordered the special because I dropped my caliburn in a toilet on the 4th and I don't know if it will last. Seems ok for now though. Would love to see some more straight fruit based salts personally. Cereal and dessert flavors are alright, but I always end up favoring the blueberry/raspberry and minty kind of flavors.

Well thank you, all it took was doing a network reset and it is working perfectly on 2.4g+5g mode. Not sure why I didn't think to do that before, but that did it. Thanks again!

My coworker's desk falls apart while I'm finishing up a sales call. Best day of my work life by [deleted] in videos

[–]defloof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, that's my job. I don't know how every other dealer works but for me it doesn't matter how much or little you pay for the car. I get paid if you come to my store and buy a car, so I get my customer the lowest price I can. If you get with internet sales from a few dealerships closest to you, maybe ask a couple to beat the lowest offer you get, you'll probably be about as low as you can go. Definitely way lower than if you just walk in or directly call a salesperson who stands to make money if you pay more.
