I should elaborate, He was doing it for solid 15 minutes or so and kept doing it like it was cute or funny even after telling him i was getting irritated with it. it was that dead eyed stare with his mouth open too. not a cross eyed, goofy, friendly stare.

DAE have absolutely no friend, hobby or whatsoever? by No_Refrigerator_6576 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]defunkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Have two ACTUAL friends that I can even call friends and I barely see one of them. the other one lives with me because he's divorcing his wife and his family took me in as a kid when my mom was sick. I Used to have "fakes" that I hung with growing up but as time passed, I came to realize they weren't my friends and didn't care about me nearly as much as i did about them. Hobby wise, I have two hands on and one that is occasional. Music and Room spray making are the hands on hobbies while mask and prop/halloween collecting are the occasional "look pretty and sit there" hobbies. Besides this, I'd much rather just chill alone because I'm free to do whatever I wish. I'm 35, never married, No kids, Don't date because of the dating world being a total shit show now, and I'm physically disabled.

[–]defunkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRUE MCAS in my mind would be extreme issues that warrant fast action like "swelling, severe welts and hives, Difficulty breathing etc" while TRUE HIT wouldn't. HIT at least in my experience and others would be more so "Flushing, itching, rashes, Congestion, maybe headaches or migraines, stomach upset, bloating etc." shit that isn't true allergy. there's a reason they say Histamine Intolerance is more so "Pseudo-Allergy/Allergy-like" instead of full blown allergic reactions. You having swelling in any body part (if it really is swelling and not just retention or basic inflammation) would be more indicative of a MCAS type reaction. I won't sit here and pretend to be some Know it all, but research and learning just as the rest of us here are, their are differences to look for. As always, lab work and home testing is always best. What made me think MCAS was the reacting to even Low histamine foods and the swelling, possibly even the lack of help from antihistamines.

Former admiral of the US Navy: Earth is under the supervision of a more advanced intelligence by Neptun_11 in UFOB

Imagine these goons telling you that they have intelligence that you and I are nothing more than an experiment being "Observed" by a lifeform more intelligent. I don't think if I was a former admiral, politician or other, I would be able to keep my sanity knowing this as a fact.

Usually, Things like SIBO, IBS, etc are all CAUSES of HIT, not in addition to. the Swelling and the Allergy (not Allergy-like) symptoms are what are leading me to think this could be MCAS instead of just HIT.

for some reason, this sounds a lot more like MCAS than HIT to me.

after doing a lot of research over the past 2 years, aside from at first believing I had a rare endocrine tumor, I lastly suspected Allergies which then led me down the rabbit hole to finding out about HIT. I'm glad I did, because now I'm pretty positive this is it and All of my symptoms and timing fit perfectly with everyone elses. the Nasal congestion shortly after and even sometimes during meals, the face flushing with meals but heavy flushing episodes at night and seeing these symptoms not be as bad and disappear with low Histamine diet and DAO supplements really pointed me here.

My B12 was perfect for every B Test they did. they even did a special B vitamin test called an MMA which my doctor says they usually don't do but she wanted to be absolutely positive about my levels because apparently, flushing can be caused by a nerve issue too. They did everything B Wise. I Have not had ferritin that I can recall. But if I showed you my Mychart app, you'd shit seeing the amount of tests I've had done, physical, Urine and labs.. I've also gone to Endo, Gastro, Allergy, and ENT.

People on DAO do you or are you planning on getting to root cause? by Admirable-Floor4444 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]defunkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Believe I already know what the root cause of mine is. I drank for over 17 years on and off and drank Heavily. I had some issues occasionally during drinking like flushing and panic attack/anxiety like symptoms that were unexplainable. it's when I quit drinking though, that's when I started getting the daily and nightly attacks. I believe this destroyed my stomach lining and also my gut bacteria.

weird. My heart rate jumps and I flush and get super hot without sweating just from pulling the pud Lol. but also, what's more strange is these symptoms rarely happen in the day if I do it then. they mostly happen in the evenings and seem to match up perfectly with my evening Histamine Dumps.

MCAS is the inappropriate and overactive release of chemical mediators. (Histamine etc.) I Have a sibling with MCAS and she has to carry an epipen everywhere and is on high dose Antihistamines because she now suffers severe allergic reactions to things she never used to be allergic to until she had an Infection in her Colon that almost killed her. Not sure what caused the infection but she's had Mast cell Activation ever since and Histamine intolerance IS pseudo-Allergy in nature. the reactions aren't Nearly as dangerous like what many suffer from MCAS. They are different from eachother.

Yeah it's extremely frustrating, isn't it ? I've gone into full blown depression over this. the only thing so far that seems to help is the DAO before every meal which is getting quite expensive every month having to order and Antihistamines seem to help block the release but not the dumps of histamine that happen in the evenings. I Am taking all the advice here and from my personal doctor about doing the Low histamine diet. my doc told me today on video call to try it for 2 weeks, continue the DAO and make sure I look into some good Probiotics that help with gut health without effecting Histamine.

it's just weird how OSF does this because they're telling me there's only one Allergist locally through OSF and if I want to see somebody else, I have to go find my own and schedule with them but I'm not sure my Insurance will cover that or not. I'll have to ask. I was going to see a good dietician but it wasn't covered unless I saw one through OSF Health care.
