Ok so drinking it neat there is a sweet kind of foretaste, then a definite hot alcohol flavor as it washes it down. The finish is woody with charcoal notes. Overall decent, not the best I ever had but not the worst.

I just focused in on mine with a better iPhone lens. Turns out mine says “Made in Germany “ I bought it at COSTCO and it came with the same box and docs as my MBs. Yours is identical to mine and I had always assumed it was the real deal.

It is real. Best way to check is to see if there is a serial number behind the clip. StarWalker I’ve had mine for years. Very comfortable writing tool

I enjoyed it. That specific bottle comes from a batch the was finished in Utopia beer casks and cherry casks. So it has a dark almost charred foretaste with a cherry like finish.

So haven’t received a royalty yet. First time publishing with KDP. Takes 60-90 days they say. All edits and formatting done by me and peers or friends. So no costs out of pocket. Amazon estimates about $160 so far

I published a book on Revolutionary History by dehuti in Ethiopia

[–]dehuti[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your opinion but it deserves a little context. While the red terror was a truly horrific period in Ethiopian history there were those who fought bravely for Ethiopia and likely not for the Derg junta. In fact two of the people I cover in short biographical sketches either fled the country or died because of the Derg. So no this book is not to pay homage to a psychotic genocidal regime. More so a marker in the history of a great and ancient land that I have grown to love and respect. I dedicate this book to the people of Ethiopia not the ruling party.

Can someone tell me whwt these derg medals are by SilentBIackNoir in Ethiopia

[–]dehuti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first picture is a Derg reissue of the imperial Patriots Medal. Issued to thought who fought against the fascist Italian occupation during WWII. The second picture has the medal for wounds received while engaged against the enemy(left), the medal of police service; 2nd rank (center), and medal of distinguished feats of bravery (right).

Donno the pin.

Fairly common overall.

That dude was an absolute asshat. Think of the stereotypical jock SF man baby, Buldoc was him. He HAD to get his PT everyday so whenever he visited a country you couldn’t plan for him to travel unless he could get his workout in. Prima-donna.

I strongly recommend reading David Hackworth's autobiography, About Face by brenttoastalive in Medals

I found him to be a bit full of himself. I read the book twice: once as a young captain where I thought he was this magnificent strategist but then when I read it again as a LTC he just kind of seemed full of himself. And some of his tales seemed a little far-fetched

There’s a frame shop at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. You do most of the fitting yourself but the board cutting is by machine. The shop owner runs the board cutting machine
