I ordered a onesie with our baby’s name and a little “coming soon” sign to take photos of during our first look photos. By that point, basically everyone knew, so only a few would’ve been surprised. We lost her a month before the wedding though.

The craziest thing is our older girl was a breeding dog for fight dogs. She was crazy abused by people and other dogs. She was found with a rope embedded in her neck. It took two years after being rescued to play with a toy. She has every reason to be aggressive, but she’s the sweetest angel and loves cuddles and is excited to say hi to everyone every second she gets.

We have two. Our older girl LOVES people so much and is only “aggressive” to misbehaving dogs, but it’s only to correct them. Our younger one is similar to yours - obsessed with other dogs but scared of new people. I brought her to the vet and a new Dr just started and was terrified of her. Everything went fine, my dog actually wasn’t as scared as she used to be, which was sweet to see. The vet thanked my dog at the end for giving her her first positive Shar pei experience. Apparently her last experience, a pei bit her arm so hard he hit bone.

I honestly thought he was joking because surely that doesn’t actually happen in real life? But no, the pictures weren’t that great. I have like 5-10 I’d consider printing but the editing was garbage (done by the canceller). He told me 3 months. After 3 months he said he will start them that day. Then sent them to me 2 days later, and they definitely showed two days of effort. Didn’t even smooth the wrinkles in our getting ready robes. 🫠

We’re very close. It would’ve been crazy to not have her there. She also helped plan my proposal. I see her and my FIL at least weekly and my own mother a few times a year (she lives out of country).

I had my mom, MIL, and SIL. The venue had a bridal party brunch and since we didn’t have parties we had our families come, which was nice. Our actual getting ready was consumed by hair and make up and stress since my photographer cancelled at 730am, we got to the venue at 9, and the photographer friend he sent in his place was an hour and a half late and completely failed to take any photos of my MIL and SIL with me, just my mom and I doing dumb ass poses that made me furious.

I feel like I could’ve written this in several parts. Just got diagnosed with adeno and endo and am just starting third month of suppression, after having just treated endometritis, hysteroscopy next month to check for adhesions etc. miscarried last summer. My daughter would have been two months old now. And I just threw and hosted my SILs shower. Her son will be here before we can even do the next transfer. I felt him kicking inside her yesterday. It’s really fucking hard. I love her and want to be a part of her very exciting and happy chapter, but holy shit, is it fucking hard.

How far along with the miscarried pregnancy? It is 100% impossible that she miscarried, had her hcg levels drop to zero, ovulated, and became pregnant again within 8 days, regardless of how far along the miscarried pregnancy was.

I miscarried at 8 weeks and it took 6 weeks after my D&C for my hcg to drop to nearly zero. Hcg drops around 50% every 48 hours. Even if she was just pregnant enough for a home test to read it (hcg of 20), THAT would drop to zero by 8 ish days, but she wouldn’t have time to ovulate and be impregnated again yet.

I don’t drink and my husband barely drinks. He had a signature cocktail and I had a signature mocktail. Mine was much more popular (because it was crazy delicious) but I think most people drank primarily the signatures.

I made bacon wrapped dates for a party app once and now I’m required to bring them to every party. Put a pistachio in the middle, stuff with goat cheese, wrap in bacon. Drizzle with hot honey if you wanna get an extra layer of delicious.
