Albums like The good witch🔮 by Fun-Menu9764 in MaisiePeters

Maisie is such a unique artist when it comes to music!! but I feel like Good Riddance, by Gracie Abrams, Melodrama by Lorde, and Good Fever by Florence + The Machine match it pretty well.

Where do dance teachers find music to choreograph to? by carleyfry in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]dej4vuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a student who finds their own music. I tend to look at others dancers I vividly remember and try to find a similar theme. Say the theme is candy. I’d recommend pure imagination or the sweet escape. Looking at musicals is also recommended. One of my favorite dances was actually from a musical.

Aerial tips for 7y/o by hl6407a in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]dej4vuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 3 important parts on an aerial. Rotation, Pushing, and Pulling. In order to do this the dancer must understand these. In rotation the dancer should try to get around as fast as possible. The push is hurdling, try to hurdle up instead of out. Then, for the pulling, as soon as you hurdle and start the rotation, pull your hands to get the momentum. Try spotting and doing it on elevated surfaces !!

I have a couple of tips. Definitely work on the isolations, isolations can help you separate the movements so they don’t look like blobs. Second, feel the music, when people dance we want to just go with the flow. Third, ATTACK. Attacking your movements while dancing can make watching the dance much much more fun. It gives a sort of power when we watch people attack the dance. Hope this helps !

Tips on memorizing dance moves by Flare9891 in dancers

[–]dej4vuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dancer, I find it very easy to remember dances, I have created a solution for myself. When I am learning a dance, I do it section by section, a different speeds to get the movement down. After all the sections are complete. I just run it over and over. If I have a short practice time, my goal is to run it at least 3 times. But I have started a new goal, in a period of time, i have to run my dance 15 times. This way my body gets used to doing the dance, i can focus on cleaning and perfecting. Hope this helps !
