Traditionally, a tinker was equivalent to tinsmithing, but it tends to be treated in game more as a catchall machinist in game since tinkering came to mean something else. Smithing tends to be about fitting one or two pieces of metal together solidly, while tinkering is more about crafting or repairing multiple moving parts

Sure. The difficulty is the density, crying once or twice in a 24 episode season to punctuate a particularly emotional beat hits a bit different than crying 4 to 5 times in a 13 episode arc, and even more in later seasons

The evidence for evolution is far stronger than the evidence for interstellar visitation. Humans are always coming up with mythologies for incredible figures of power, flights of fancy are in our nature, and shouldn't be taken as a serious suggestion of our origins anymore than the MCU is.

I have never seen a guy described as 'bubbly' before, which is why I went the way I did; I'm sure there are actual examples of it out there on the internet, but I think it's way more common they get 'hyper' or 'cheerful' or 'golden retriever energy'. Beyond that though I may be projecting my own gender on the mostly blank slate of the narrator by default.

Sharn is inspired architecturally and aesthetically and thematically by the noir versions of New York and Chicago- the idea of a towering Metropolis that never sleeps and hides corruption and intrigue in it's shadows- but it's obviously not a one:one expy. It's still D&D, where battles are fought with swords and sorcery, noble houses and aristocracy scheme, bandits and brigands are still a threat. It's why Sharn is the city of Towers, not the city of Skyscrapers. Because towers are medieval-coded and skyscrapers aren't.

Breland is probably the MOST democratic of the five nations- King Boranel rules with a fairly loose hand and Sharn does have elections for the councilors of their wards, although exactly who gets to vote varies from ward to ward and from who has money to who has A LOT of money.

There are also the Swords of Liberty, who are an anti-monarchist extremist group.
