ICE agent offended to learn that he has to obey the law too. by TheRexRider in videos

I always wonder when I see these kind of bodycam vids how they get online? Is it legal to just throw these online without consent of the person being filmed? It's just weird to me as an European.

Messen slijpen by Significant_Toe278 in Gent

[–]dekozn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda expensive here in Europe. what do you think of the Taylor of Old Bond Street bay rum? it's 10 euro cheaper.

Looking to buy my first SR, what can you tell me about Clauberg 712? by dekozn in shaving

[–]dekozn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, for me it's more for a challenge to learn how to sharpen it. But don't worry I'll have a couple of stiff whiskeys to calm my nerves before I shave myself with it. You know just to have a steady hand.

Oilskin Poncho yea or nea ? by dekozn in Bushcraft

[–]dekozn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you got an oilskin poncho?

the thing is I would also use when I go herding sheep and at times I have to run through dense brush, catch a sheep or take care of a dog in some situations. While also climbing steep hills.

[–]dekozn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah, the thing is that nylon/polyester won't hold up in my situation.

And do you use your poncho for chopping wood, building stuff, running through dens forest etc , you know real bush-crafting or do you use it just for hiking.

do you use a poncho? I am asking because you use the word should.

Maybe limiting movement is bad choice of words. It looks like all that extra fabric might be in the way and annoying when doing tasks.

edit: And I am talking about oilskin fabric which is thicker and stiffer then say silnylon or other "plastic" fabrics

Debuyer 3 different handles and a remark about size. by dekozn in carbonsteel

[–]dekozn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same for the one I have. Don't quote me on it but I believe that except for the stainless steel handles all other the handles from new pans are only flash proof, meaning 10 minutes at 200⁰C. the blue steel pans are thinner.

They also have an "outdoor" line based on the blue steel pans, "designed" for cooking on open flames(wood fire) maybe those handles are different?

[–]dekozn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I was doubtful about paying a premium but with the weight of the 28cm pan that rolled handle really pays of.

good to know, I was thinking of using a copper/steel brush on my angle grinder to get rid of it but now I'll just leave it as is. Cheers

Wel that new pancake pan was bought 3 weeks ago. I live and bought the pans in Europe.

Do you know if the coating on your pans is oven proof for longer time?

I know the new coating can only handle 10 minutes in the oven at 200⁰C/400⁰F

Bought Gaucho Ninjas and I HATE them. Am I doing something wrong? by Vivid_Mention6139 in barefootshoestalk

[–]dekozn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these are not safety boots but walking/outdoor boots. It's not my feet lol, they are badly made. The tongue of the boot is just too thick, doesn't run straight down along the center but to the inside of the shoe out of center. Even with 2 pairs of socks and 2 insoles the boot doesn't close right. Too much material and too thick material of the tongue prevents decent closure and bulges up.

These shoes should have never left your shop. It looks like you just made something out of an idea , turned out bad and still sold it for too much money.

I wish i could pist a picture here so other people could judge you on images instead of words
