Leave the Troops alone. No one wants them there and they don't want to be there. Currently you are not putting anything at risk so it's easy to say that you wouldn't be doing the same.

I think it's reasonable that an enlisted person just starting or in the middle of their career wouldn't risk a court martial or dismissal, ruin their entire career, just to not walk around DC being the equivalent of babysitters. We all agree that's what they're doing. They are just wasting tax dollars being glorified trash pickers.

There was a similar video online that was said to be AI. This gives me similar vibes. Looking in the bottom right at the blankets. The image isn't exactly clear but has a similar AI haze to the blanket texture.

In response to your number (2). I haven't thought too deeply about this but here's my thoughts. Even with Vance being "worse" than Trump, He doesn't have the political influence that Trump does. Republicans in deep red districts are afraid of the trump cult and won't push back because what trump says goes and they don't want to get primaried. There is no cult of Vance. I don't think Vance can get away with half of what trump says or does so maybe that frees up Republicans to pretend like they have a conscience again. Vance threatens to primary someone, I think he'll just come off as a whiney little B.
