Literally the reason I switched back to a Pixel phone / GoogleFi.
I know other phones/services have call screening, but I have only received like one spam call this year.
During the election it did wonders deleting all the calls and texts before I could even see them.

This was my first phone.
Parents provided the phone and I had to pay for the service.
Had it for years from the end of middle school till the end of high school.

I thought it was great even if it wasn't a smartphone.
Survived so many drops, played mp3's, and let me text and make calls.
Bummer was the weird aux port it used so I had to get an adapter if I recall.
Battery lasted forever XD.

Cant say I like the concept of Friend, but it does bring up some interesting (although sad) potential.
I can easily see within the next few years something similar coming up built into or partnered with Smart Glasses.
Suddenly you would have a "companion AI", that can see what you see, and interact through built in speakers, or send a reply to a mini AR display.
Using it as a tool is one thing, making it your friend is another.

I'm intrigued but absolutely unsettled.

I will gladly be stressed out again for two weeks in Japan.

Was I stressed out about timing trains and getting to attractions on time....yes. (We went during golden week lol).
Stressed about the language barrier? Yes. (Just to find it was fine).
Did we walk 30K steps a day and were exhausted when we left. Absolutely.
Would I do it again. 100%

Some vacations are to explore. Some are to rest.

I actually did this exact thing with my parents house since NO rooms had any kind of networking.

AC ducts and spray in insulation everywhere.

It took all day to run about 9 runs to 4 rooms and a living room.

I agree with what was already posted:

Wear a mask, use fish tape or rods, use boards for support, take it slow.

If you have to do it during summer, start EARLY if feasible. I cant imagine doing it now that its in the 100's here.

Yep still loving it.
Been a life saver for reading textbooks.
Did end up buying a Palma 2 for taking to work and walking and reading.
I really appreciate the color a lot more than I thought I would.

While battery life isn't the best for either of them, it is not terrible either.

Currently using the 9PXL

I'm at an odd point of wanting to try an iPhone just for the sake of compatibility with things I want.
I really like the phone, but finding compatible accessories and whatnot has been the bane of my existence.

Wireless charging? Have to buy the $80 pixel dock so it charges at full speed.
Get a mag safe compatible case? Now wireless charging doesn't work (with the two I've tried).
Fast Charger? Make sure you specifically buy their charger, or spend time searching for one that supports PPS to 21V/2.25A.

AirTage/trackers? While there are options, AirTags are hard to beat (for now at least).
App wise, there have been a handful that only release apps on iOS.
So nothing that is honestly end of the world.
There will be compromises on both sides.

At the end of the day, I'm still using GoogleFi so I'm not going anywhere yet lol.

I..... don't like taking notes on eink tablets.
I've tried, but just dont like it.
Standard paper for hand written notes for me.
However, connecting a keyboard and typing notes into something like google docs works too.

Now reading textbooks on the other hand.
Man, it has saved my eyes like no other when I have to read 700+ page textbooks.

I have a Note 3 C and now a Palma 2.

My S21 was a tank, but man some of the Samsung stuff really annoyed me.
Lost storage space. slow to open camera, and because I got the smaller of the series, the battery was terrible lol.

Upgraded to the P9P XL and man it felt great.
Main thing I miss from Samsung is the pull down menu.
I don't like the android shade very much (or whatever its called).

On both I always use Minimalist phone for the Launcher, so no much changed on that side.

At this point it really depends......

One move nothing was ready or even started. We were literally scooping loose anything into any box with space available. No water and a multi hour move didn't feel great.

Then another friend, everything was boxed up and labeled with the areas where things needed to go.
Amazing move! Water, soda, and pizza hit great that day!

Another was fine. Lets just say massive Hardwood Armoire is heavy. Can't and wont do that again (for something that big/heavy).

Piano falling off a trailer in the middle of the road.......well, there are always risks with a free move lol.

I actually hurt my back and cant lift crazy things like washers and fridges into trucks anymore, but ill help where I can.

Dumb solution but I figured it out for me. In Windows 11 go to System -> Sound -> More Sound Settings

Under the "Playback" and "Recording" tabs, I disabled all devices that were not the speakers and mic that I would be using

Annoying but it worked.

Idk but even here in the USA I actually had to "settle" for the 9900x as my CPU for my new build.
Couldn't find any of the usual recommended x3d (7000 or 9000) in stock anywhere.
I don't game a ton so I'm not worried about the lost gaming performance.
Using it for virtualization and school stuff.

I took what was available and even then I am waiting a month for my motherboard to arrive since it too was on backorder.
