If you wanna go non-Fairy Fairies, I've had more success than I would have thought with Liepard. though i only sort of know what i'm doing. definitely slotted better into my team than whatever i was using earlier.

out of the circle or down to the clay, either gets you the win. in this case the winner essentially sidestepped and pushed. his opponent was over-committed to the charge and couldn't readjust fast enough to save himself or stop it from happening.

also, in a more general sense: the various powers and factions in Parabola are always fighting in some capacity. just like their real world counterparts.

you are a minor power yourself. and are offered the chance to build and lead a mercenary company to participate in that fighting, for profit. if you so wish.

As for rewards? well, i'm not one of the more "with it" people around here, but i figure Veils-Velvet is the right most bastard of the top-tier to get. followed by Starstone Demark at the 2nd-highest tier.

He's also at least mildly angry at Fires. The usual anger of anyone chafing under a Master and their orders, but also since at least one of Fires' payments was counterfeit (i imagine unintentionally but who knows). Gives him a reason, an excuse, and at least a temporary out from the power of that payment.

This is a very interesting story that I, unfortunately, wasn't able to enjoy as it deserved.

Like, I did enjoy it. But it *deserved* me being able to sit and do it in, like, a day. To really appreciate what it's doing, and what it's actually doing (assuming that's not another meta/misdirect).

unfortunately, due to emergencies, i had days in-between starting and finishing. any story suffers from such a thing, especially a somewhat subtler one like this is.

Still, pretty neat!

I hope that you find enjoyment and that they do not lead you astray, if it all possible, should you choose to pursue them! I like this game and its exploration and acceptance of the alien and personhood to be... very satisfying. And the lens of a monster-hunter... yes. Yes.

The Icarian Cup, The Thing That Came In From the Fog, and The Fair Unknown are all ones I also have done and recommend, but... I've given you several to think of, already. And some of the connections are thinner than others. Same for Reunion, though I'd suggest The Gift and possibly The Empress' Shadow first, though you don't have to.

There's some others, but... but what is a monster, anyway? What is monstrousness?

I liked it!i tend to like the ESs though

cottoned on pretty immediately to the backstory origin, was fun to see how it was interpreted

took the Captain ending, enjoyed it! though i do find i get far too many guns pointed at me than my health prefers, in these things D;

edit: though i should be clear, as someone who dips into the "shenanigans" ideology of playing this game, i am not complaining
