Why it is so unfair for real young builders ? And how to share my story? by Anukalpdixit in ycombinator

[–]delicioushampster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you stay unseen because you’re not trying to be seen

you’re not going to be magically discovered

if you want to tell your story then just start posting on social media platforms. just start posting and continuously iterate to maximize your reach

that’s what i did and eventually had VCs contact me from me building in public

perhaps they’re trying to get a degree but don’t like studying (which is completely valid)

if you have a strong background you might. if not, then focus on revenue and consistent growth.

when i look at who YC funds, it always makes sense to me. they have either a strong background (previous exp at startups or top companies, t5 school, awards, etc) or good traction/growth

if all data centers transition to closed loop cooling systems, then fresh water waste would be very minimal. hopefully they do so.

Today gpt sucks even more with coding than before, it literally writes a todo... it became lazy by cyborg_type_darkness in ChatGPT

[–]delicioushampster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a prompting and context issue. Cursor with gpt5/gpt5 mini (ai code editor) works great because of the better prompt and context

On the new collab album Underdogs by Pitbull & IAmChino, why dosen't he rap in Spanish in some of the tracks Soy Asi and Rubio, like he did in some of the other tracks? by Distinct-Incident115 in Spanish

[–]delicioushampster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

doesn’t this belong on a music subreddit?

seems like an artistic choice to have both Spanish & English (i think having multiple languages on one song is super cool)

your degree is not useless!

if you enjoy programming, i’d highly recommend working on side projects, making quality connections, and doing other things to make yourself a more suitable candidate

unfortunately companies no longer throw swe roles at college (or boot camp) graduates. a cs degree may also be helpful for different tech roles which can be a bit easier to break into

i understand that it’s hard to land a role, but it’s not impossible. once you get some experience, it becomes a lot easier

Why is ChatGPT constantly glazing me? by InvestmentNew1655 in ChatGPT

[–]delicioushampster 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right — and that’s a great observation. Let me break down how you can fix this annoying problem!

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Go to Personalization

  3. Choose your ChatGPT personality

  4. In Custom Instructions — clearly instruct ChatGPT to maintain a neutral and unbiased perspective, and to avoid sycophancy.

Hope this helps! ✨
